  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Other Parties

Should they be added as options?

  • Add an option for them all.

  • Only add an option for UKIP.

  • Don't add options for any more parties.

  • Maybe.

Not suggestions for new forums, but for options in User CP for "Political Party."

The newly found Justice Party has ballot access in enough states to technically win a presidential election.

The UK Independence Party came in fourth in the 2010 general election with 6% of the vote; it came in second in the European Parliamentary elections. It is also the fastest growing party in Britain and opinion polls show that UKIP is continuing to gain traction and is expected to take at least 15% of the vote in the next general election. Recently 12 members of the House of Commons defected to join UKIP; as did 3 members of the House of Lords.

Respect is a relatively small party that hasn't received a significant percentage of the votes in the last general election. They do, however, have a single member in the House of Commons; they have no members in the House of Lords.

United States: Justice Party
United Kingdom: UKIP, Respect
