  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Just thought I would take the time to say thank you to everyone who saw "The Passion of The Christ". Whether you thought it was well made or not, whether controversial or not, I am happy to have seen so many people open minded enough to see it. Thank you. This film so far has made $117 million dollars! Hopefully tomorrow we will see the real tally.

I know tonight is Oscar night. Hopefully we won't hear anything negative, but who knows?

What do you think will be the result in Hollywood after this film? Do you think they will make more? Do you think they will make more films like "Priest" and/or "Last Temptation"?

What say you?

I think there will be a sea of anti-Catholic and anti-Christian movies coming out. I think there will be movies that will be released as Christian type movies but will be a bad reflection like the "Last Temptation" movie. We need to be aware and watch for that. I just pray Mel makes another one with the same actor (Jim Cav....) I can never spell his name! I hope he makes a whole story of Jesus' life, wouldn't that be awesome???

yep saw an add for it tonight.
http://abc.go.com/movies/judas.html
Judas is perhaps the most complex character in the Gospels, the disciple-turned-betrayer — a man who walked with Jesus, only to later turn him in for thirty pieces of silver. Judas, covers the two years Judas spent with Jesus, years marked by political unrest as well as spiritual awakening.

The historical dramatization takes a unique look at an age-old story and provides a view into the heart and mind of Judas. It is the intimate story of a man who wants something from Jesus he cannot have, and who cannot accept what Jesus does offer.

Judas is the final project of the late Father Ellwood "Bud" Kieser, C.S.P. — founder of the Humanitas Prize and Paulist Productions.

Judas is executive-produced by multi-Emmy Award-winning writer/producer Tom Fontana, who also wrote the screenplay. Frank Desiderio, C.S.P., president of Paulist Productions and the Humanitas Prize, also serves as executive producer of the film. The film, under the Paulist Productions banner, is directed by Charles Robert Carner. Ann Wingate is the producer

They're jusy mad that his movie is doing so well- and selling out theaters! They're also mad, because they don't know that they are truly, deeply, and personally loved by the Creator of the universe-- we should say a little Hail Mary for them each time, and commend all through Mary toGod!

Funny how no one seems to thank God anymore....

But see we can see this as guerilla warfare- everytime somebody goes up to receive an award, and mention not a word about their gratitude to the One Who Made Them-- we can just pray that Mary will claim them for Christ and bring about their conversion that they might give great testimony to the grandeur of God--imagine if all Christians watching would do that!!! But we are "two or three"-we're gathered in purpose at least!

I have another plan. Along with the prayer, why don't people see it more than once. In fact, I think we should all purchase advance tickets to the Good Friday showings. It is entirely possible that Good Friday's box office haul could exceed most first-day openings. If this is accomplished, Mel could achieve something that has not been done to my knowledge: having a one-day total that out-earns any other movie that's been out for over a month. Usually, a movie will start out strong in the first few weeks, than attendance will dwindle until it's run is finished. Wouldn't it be great to have a big leap after having been released a month before? what do you all think?

Oh I am going to see the movie again at least twice more, I find it so good for my relationship with Him. I can't explain it but I don't think I can be reminded too many times. It is sort of like penance having to see that again and at the same time it supports Mel, does that make sense?
