  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

The FROG of deceit?

You mean the spirit which the dragon (not really a dragon) because he can't manifest himself fully in one, which are the spirits of demons as clearly stated in Revelation 16:13 and Revelation 16:14 sent out to gather those "kings of the earth" against THE LORD

Is that what you mean by the FROG of deceit?
no, I mean the Armies of the USA, Israel, Russia, etc. ALL Armies

You have identified whole armies as having the spirit of anti christ?

If you do that then you have already identified those in one kingdom from those in another KINGDOM and serving two different fathers depending on what kingdom they are in

Duh... Isa 14:12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Hillel , son of the nm. morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!
The name is a cognate of the Hebrew word Shachar (שחר) meaning dawn.
In mainstream Judaism there is no concept of a devil like in mainstream Christianity or Islam. In Hebrew, the biblical word ha-satan means "the adversary" or the obstacle, or even "the prosecutor" (recognizing that God is viewed as the ultimate Judge) Reading Isa 14:4, "That you shall take up this proverb against the **king of Babylon,** and say, How has the oppressor ceased! the golden city ceased!", it becomes clear that this is the king of Babylon and his nation that is being spoken of here.
While this mythological information is available to scholars today via translated Babylonian cuneiform text taken from clay tablets, it was not as readily available at the time of the Latin translation of the Bible.
Thus, early Christian tradition interpreted the passage as a reference to the moment Satan was thrown from Heaven. Lucifer became another name for Satan and has remained so due to Christian dogma and popular tradition.
There is no unambiguous reference to the Devil in the Torah, the Prophets, or the Writings. Carus P. History of the Devil and the Idea of Evil
If you wish to undercut authority of Scripture you do so at your own peril. I felt you were sincere in not understanding that Scripture addresses Satan at every level. I'm not in for a debate on authority of Scripture. What IS your guide if not Scripture?...a simple-minded book authored by an apparently arrogant fallible man. So be it for you then and may God eventually open your eyes to your error.

Would you believe Irenaeus, Tertullian, Chrysostom, Theodoret, Photius, Theophylact, and Augustine? Be careful, if you cannot answer what was posted, for there are ravening wolves who seek to devour you and will report you to the administrators of this website as some have already done to me!
And as to the expression this world, αιωνος τουτου, we are not to imagine that it necessarily means wicked men, or a wicked age; for it is frequently used to express the whole mundane system, and all that is called time: Whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither εν τουτῳ τῳ αιωνι, in This World, nor in the world to come; Matthew 12:32. In Luke 20:34, the children, υἱοι του αιωνος τουτου, of This World, mean simply mankind at large in their state of probation in this lower world, in opposition to their state in the world to come. The same meaning the word has in several other places, to which l need not refer; it simply implying the present state of things, governed by the Divine providence, in contradistinction from the eternal state: and it is very remarkable that, in 1 Timothy 1:17, God himself is called Βασιλευς των αιωνων, the King of the World; what we call King eternal; but here it evidently means him who governs both worlds, and rules in time and eternity. This character among the Asiatics is considered essential to God; and therefore in the very first surat of the Koran he is called Rabbi Alalameen, "the Lord of both worlds," an expression perfectly similar to that above. But it is needless to multiply examples; they exist in abundance. Some, and particularly the ancient fathers, have connected του αιωνος τουτου with των απιστων, and have read the verse: But God hath blinded the minds of the unbelievers of this world, etc. Irenaeus, Tertullian, Chrysostom, Theodoret, Photius, Theophylact, and Augustine, all plead for the above meaning; and St. Augustine says that it was the opinion of almost all the ancients.

The Armies of THIS world.
President Reagan’s view of Ezekiel’s prophecy was not limited, however,
to shaping America’s relations with Russia; it also influenced his relationship
with other nations. He believed, for example, that the Arab nations of the Middle East would participate in the End Time invasion of Israel.
Ezekiel 38-39 will be fulfilled by the invasion of Israel by Russia. Apparently represented by the nations of “Paras, Cush and Put” (Ezekiel 38:5). J. Simons, Geographical and Topographical Texts of the Old Testament (Leiden: E. J. Brill, 1959), ad loc.
Ezekiel lists three nations, and the list follows the same pattern as “Rosh [no AND] Meshech AND Tubal,” above: “Paras, [no AND] Cush, AND Put” 38:5.. Ezekiel 27 substantiates the fact that these names were real nations whose identity could be traced far into the future—that is, toward the fulfillment of Ezekiel’s prophecy. This list, which portrays commercial activity in the 6th century BCE, includes five of the names on the war list in Ezekiel 38 (Paras, Put, Meshech, Tubal, and Beth Togarmah). In this context, these nations are quite real and identifiable. Furthermore, their fascination with trade and materialism seems unchanged in the Gog passage eleven chapters later.
Today, the nations occupying the territories of Ezekiel’s prophecy
(Paras, Cush, and Put) are, respectively, Iran, Sudan, and Libya
—precisely the “peripheral” nations that commentators insisted could not be associated. [We also know what has happened in Libya, and Syria, TODAY] On the other hand, in the early 1980s, after the Islamic/socialist revolutions in Libya (Ezekiel’s Put), Iran (Paras), and Sudan (the biblicalCush)—and the rising tide of Islamic fundamentalism that swept over all the Middle East.. Significantly, these three Arab nations are on record as being the most vociferously anti-Zionist of the Arab world. They also represent the most aggressive Islamic states in their training and export of terrorism worldwide.
Iran (Ezekiel’s Paras/Persia) underwent an Islamic revolution at the end of
the 1970s that reoriented the country against the West—whom Arabs call
“the Crusaders”—
and against Israel. Libya (Ezekiel’s Put) follows the
radical Islamic agenda of its leader, Mu‛ammar Qadhafi, and represents a
major player within Islamic extremism.[Dead now and overthrown] These days, the Islamic government of (northern) Sudan (Ezekiel’s Cush) is waging a brutal war against the Christian and animist Sudanese in the southern part of the country, killing them by the tens and hundreds of thousands a year, selling prisoners into slavery, and compelling young girls to marry Muslim men, thereby forcing their conversion and genital mutilation. So we now see a remarkable and
intimate association of three radical Islamic states which are committed to
one goal: the annihilation of Israel, and are the very countries Ezekiel said
would ultimately strive mightily toward this purpose (cf. Psalm 83:1-8a).
This picture conforms well with the tone of a number of other biblical prophecies that portray Israel standing alone against the onslaught of “all nations.[Including the USA] For example, Russia has recently entered into agreements with Iran, Sudan, and Libya [and now Syria] to supply military arms. These nations, now occupying the areas of Ezekiel’s nations of Paras, Cush, and Put, appear to represent the other three directions (east, south, and west, respectively) of Gog’s universal invasion. The unbelievers of what?

How much farther and higher do those who have been transferred out of the kingdom of darkness and into the KINGDOM of LIGHT who have been gathered up and out of the world and have been seated in the heavenly realms in CHRIST JESUS have to go?

Can you finish up that s statement The unbelievers of what?
the unbelievers of this world
2Th 1:9 who shall pay the penalty of everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his might, [DARBY]
How much farther and higher do those who have been transferred out of the kingdom of darkness and into the KINGDOM of LIGHT who have been gathered up and out of the world and have been seated in the heavenly realms in CHRIST JESUS have to go?
Rev 11:15 And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.
Rev 20:6 Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.
Rev 22:5 And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever.
In each believer this may speedily take place; but probably no such time shall ever appear, in which evil shall be wholly banished from the earth, till after the day of judgment, when the earth having been burnt up, a new heaven and a new earth shall be produced out of the ruins of the old, by the mighty power of God: righteousness alone shall dwell in them. The phraseology of the apostle here seems partly taken from the ancient prophets, and partly rabbinical; and it is from the Jewish use of those terms that we are to look for their interpretation. [CLARKE] Public Domain
2Pe 3:13 Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for a new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.
Rev 21:2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. 10 And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and shewed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending from out of heaven from God,
LukE 11:2 And he said unto them, When ye pray, say, Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as it is in heaven, so on the earth.

There are 322 in Majuscule not to mention all the others!
GA 01 Majuscule 4th Century ViewCodex Sinaiticus is a fourth century manuscript of the Greek Old Testament, the New Testament, the Epistle of Barnabas, and the Shepherd of Hermas on parchment; The facsimile images are from the J. The Book of Isaiah has multiple authors and that 2 Corinthians is two letters joined together the book comprises three separate collections of oracles: Proto-Isaiah (chapters 1–39), containing the words of Isaiah; Deutero-Isaiah (chapters 40–55), the work of an anonymous 6th-century BCE author writing during the Exile; and Trito-Isaiah (chapters 56–66), composed after the return from Exile.
The Deutero-Isaian part of the book describes how God will make Jerusalem the centre of his worldwide rule through a royal saviour (a messiah) who will destroy her oppressor.
D = author of Deuteronomy, J= the Jahvistic Document of the Hexateuch, J, P= Priest's Code of the Hexateuch
Compare Dt. 1:9-13 to Ex. 18:13:36 or Dt. 10:1-4 to Ex. 25:10; 36:2; 37:1 But in no case is any dependence on P is evident and the general view of D is decidedly not that of P. The relation of D to the code P is very different.
DANIEL, BOOK OF, APOCRYPHAL ADDITIONS TO: In the Greek text of the Book of Daniel are found the following additions: (1) The Prayer of Azariah and the Thanksgiving of the Three Children in the Fiery Furnace. (2) The History of Susannah. (3) The Story of Bel and the Dragon. The first of these has a much closer relation to the Book of Daniel than the other two.
1. The Song of the Three Children. This is apocryphal addition of 67 verses to the Book Daniel inserted after 3 23.
2. The History of Susannah. This apoc addition to the Book of Daniel is entitled in some MSS. 'The Judgment of Daniel.' In Greek and in the Old Latin version it is placed before Dn ch1; in the Vulgate it stands at the end as Dn ch. 13 The Greek text is extant in two recensions, the LXX and that of Theodotion, which differ from each other in some details. There are also several Syriac versions.
3. Bel and the Dragon. These are two distinct stories which have been added to the Book of Daniel in the Greek and other versions. Neither of these stories, of course, is authentic, but each is framed from material taken from current legends and ideas. The dragon myth had wide circulation. As in the case of the History of Susannah, the two Greek recensions, that of the LXX, and that of Theodotion, differ in details. The original language of these stories has generally been considered to be Greek along with Gaster's discovery of an Aramaic Dragon in the Chronicles of Jerahmeel.

The unbelievers of this world already we know they are unbelievers and I am certain you didn't mean that they don't believe in the world

Huh? Define unsoiled spirit. There are only human spirits and Godly spirits and immortal spirits that are equal unto the angels!
1Co 15:42 for they are equal unto the angels; in spirituality, purity and immortality; See Gill on Mat 22:30. But are as the angels of God in heaven; or, as in Luke, "are equal unto the angels"; and which he explains their immortality: "neither can they die any more"; no more than the angels can: for this must not be extended to everything; not in everything will the saints be like, or equal to the angels; they will not be incorporeal, as the angels are, but then, even their bodies will be spiritual, and in some respects, like spirits; they will not stand in any need of sustenance, by eating and drinking, any more than the angels; nor will there be any such things as marriage, and procreation of children among them, any more than among angels; for they "are the children of God, being the children of the resurrection": they will then appear to be the children of God by adopting grace, through their enjoying the adoption, even the redemption of their bodies; and possessing, in soul and body, the heavenly inheritance they are heirs of: indeed, the souls of the saints before the resurrection, during their separate state, are in some sense like the angels, to which may be applied those words of Maimonides (d), [GILL]

not unsoiled, but unsouled - the unsouled spirit has no soul, though it could be intelligent and have great potential in general

Blessings

There are no unsouled beings such as domestic animal: - beast G2934 κτῆνος From G2932; property, that is, (specifically) a domestic animal: - beast.
Gen 1:28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.
Gen 3:14 The LORD God told the Shining One, "Because you have done this, you are more cursed than all the livestock, and more than all the earth's animals, You'll crawl on your belly and eat dust as long as you live. [ISV]
Ecc 3:20 All go unto one place; all are of the dust, and all turn to dust again.
18 I said in mine heart concerning the estate of the sons of men, that God might manifest them, and that they might see that they themselves are animals.
19 For that which befalleth the sons of men befalleth animals; even one thing befalleth them: as the one dieth, so dieth the other; yea, they have all one breath; so that a man hath no preeminence above a beast [animal]: for all is vanity.
Ecc 3:20 All go unto one place; all are of the dust, and all turn to dust again.
Gen 2:7 And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

In Greek and in the Old Latin version it is placed before Dn ch1; in the Vulgate it stands at the end as Dn ch.

Satan, along with other fallen angels or demonic beings, is virtually absent.

A 30-second google search would have stopped you from making this claim.

The rebellion of the divine council appears in literature 1000 years before the earliest date for the Torah.

We have ugaritic, Egyptian, Babylonian, and Akkadian accounts. Look at accounts of Mt. Hermon and the descent of the watchers,

Jesus talks more of the Satan than all he rest of scripture combined.

Job 33:4 The Spirit of God hath made me, and the breath of the Almighty hath given me life.

and where have you seen the devil himself eating dust in the literal sense of the word(s)?! - Scripture is full of special (spiritual) terms with special (spiritual) meanings, which even the biblical/strong's lexicon does not (fully) explain

2 Peter 3:14-16 (NASB) "be diligent to be found by Him in peace, spotless and blameless, and regard the patience of our Lord as salvation; just as also our beloved brother Paul, according to the wisdom given him, wrote to you, as also in all his letters, speaking in them of these things, in which are some things hard to understand, which the untaught and unstable distort, as they do also the rest of the Scriptures, to their own destruction."

if not the very main meaning then at least one of the main meanings of the biblical word "dust" is 'unstable', because satan as an universal entity(i.e. an entity that is on an universal scale) showed sings of unrighteous nature in the beginning and therefore God said that he could only "eat dust" with such an attitude, which means that he could thus only do things based on instability, because the nature of unrighteousness(the "darkness") is unstable and all things (whatever they may be) based on the kingdom of the "darkness" cannot last forever but are passing, so satan could thus only "crawl on" his "belly" which means he could not be settled part of the "heaven"

the capacity of humans and other (be)souled creatures is too small to be able to survive without the true God, because their nature is such, which is why it is said that they are "of the dust" and can only "turn to dust" if don't conform to the Holy Law of the true God, which especially applies to humans committing spiritual unrighteousness/lawlessness/wickedness

so this is some revealing, albeit basic, explanation for the biblical word "dust/sand" (Remember the revealing words of the Lord from Matthew 7:26-27)

Blessings
