  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Can a yeast infection hurt the baby? I just got a call from my OB and she says I have one. I looked up the causes and two match:
1) Pregnancy
2) Live in warm, humid climate (does MS count? lol)
I'm going to pick up meds in an hour, but now I'm concerned for my little boy. I guess if it was she would've told me...

Take care and God bless!!

What are the symtoms of a yeast infection? I get a urine sample done every month at my pre-natal... can they tell from that? And I haven't noticed anything different except some days I have more discharge, which as far as I've read, is normal and is describable as what they say is normal.

That's good tho that it won't harm baby!!! An annoyance, yeah, I could imagine!

A yeast infection ITCHES. The discharge is yellowy-curdle-looking and has a sweet smell. Believe me, if you had one, you'd know it.

Monistat (or one of the other over the counter brands) is a suppository-type medicine that is Completely safe while pregnant.

The pill form, that you take by mouth, is Not considered safe while pregnant, but might be worth taking during breastfeeding if you have a systemic yeast infection that is affecting the baby too (thrush).

I've had one before and didn't know it. And the cream medication made me very, very sick. I wasn't pg, though.
