This is my first post and I somehow ended up at this particular discussion....very interesting topic, indeed.
Valid questions being asked and I certainly agree that the books/letters for the NT were chosen in a way that has caused many to question it's validity. Regardless of what I read in the Bible, my view of it is through considering that God is loving, compassionate, and full of grace and mercy.
I know many Christians who have difficulty making sense of various aspects of the Bible, Old and NT....and at times question if it truly represents God and they would say they have His Spirit within as well so it would seem that being 'Spirit-filled' answers the question for the validity of the Bible for everyone.
