He's adorable and this is something I've been thinking about since signing up for Facebook - make sure print out pics of him along the way (preferrably on photo print paper). At some point the Net or computers will look at .jpg images the way it looks it FORTRAN. At least with a physical print you can scan it to the technology of the day and upload it in the new file format.

Do places like Kinko's, where you can get your pictures professionally printed, print with ink that fades?

Re: FORTRAN: It's actually still going strong in some fields. Granted, it's changed a lot over the decades, but about half the people in my office are on the FORTRAN compiler team. Their compiler is one of the big money-makers in our department.

I think professional printers are better, at least that is what I heard a number of years ago, but it is worth finding out more.
