OOC: The City of Ember (NEW MEMBERS NEEDED!)

No, that was a pm I sent you. To Sampson X and Paladin Dave: Wow, to turn traitor right before the very eyes of your king! That takes brass, Sam! Hey Dave, do you think KH ought to be so trusting of an obvious flip-flopping traitor? I'm halfway tempted to rp the king right now, but I'll resist the temptation.

If Gond survives Brute Squad training, KH will be happy. It takes dedication to let them torture you like that. There are only one hundred Brute Warriors out of all of Ember's armies for a reason... Besides, not only is KH a bit naive at times, but he isn't gonna put Gond in a position in which he could betray Ember.

Oh yeah, the King. Thats right, KH was busy yelling at him. Thank you, WOF. I shall resume doing so .

Umm... I didn't have anything else for Gond to do, and I figured I might as well do something gutsy. Who knows...maybe Gond will come back to his senses when KH continues to fight the elves?

You rock, WOF! It would be even funnier if you didn't sound like my 13 year old sister..... yeah, she likes making up odd words. Only hers are just stupid, and not funny. You do it to be funny, she does it because she doesn't know the proper word to use...

I have a friend who makes a habit of trying to make up new words. Only problem, most of his aren't any good, and he keeps coming back to his first three or four. But he's a funny guy. I need to get him to take Christianity a little more seriously though. He goes to church, but he sure doesn't take it seriously. At least he doesn't show it. Please pray for him and me. He's one of two of my friends I'm trying to bring a little closer to God.

I'll be praying for you, and your friend. The best thing you can do is be a good example of Christ's love, don't push it. Remember none can come to God except through the Son and none come to the Son unless they be drawn by the Holy Spirit. A good prayer is to ask God to draw your friend, to put laborers into his path who will faithfully speak and live the Word. Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God. I have family that I want to come to Christ, but they're fighting it. I've had to learn to leave them in God's hands and pray, no one has come to salvation that someone didn't pray them in and the Holy Spirit began drawing them.

This is turning into a long post, but I just want to encourage you before I close. I was strenuously talking to my dad about Jesus and writing to him about being saved and it seemed the more I pressed the more he resisted. Then I backed off and when I had an opening I just would tell him something good that God had done for me. Well this has gone on for a year and a half, but then one day when we were talking he told me something amazing.

My dad's a GREAT mechanic, if it has moving parts, he can tear it down and put it back together so it works better than before. He was taking a transmission out of an old Lincoln Town Car to put into a Ford pick up, yes it can be done, but it's HARD. He was struggling with putting that transmission in for HOURS. He gave up and decided to start fresh the next day. After three hours he still wasn't getting anywhere so, in exaspiration, he said, "God, please help me, I need this to slip in." IMMEDIATELY the transmission slipped into place like a hot knife going through butter! God is so good! He was talking to my dad, saying "See I'm listening, I'm here and I love you." And I got to share that with him because Dad called me right after it happened. Not only is God working on my father, but he's encouraging me to continue sharing my faith, gently.

I hope this helps. Again, I will pray for God to guide you as you share your faith and I will pray for open hearts, minds, ears and eyes on your friends. Keep sharing, but don't forget to "Let go and let God."

Thats great, WOF. You need to talk to some of the nutjobs in the Non Christian Religion debate area. I stopped posting there because I would start having a very productive and intruiging conversation with a muslim or someone and some idiot comes in and says, "Ya'll're goin' to hell, cuz you worship demons and not God. Mohammed is a servant of the devil." Yeah... it got very irritating. People need to remember the phrase, "honey attracts more flies than vinegar." Still, great story, wOF. I am glad your Dad came to God.

He took a very important step, but he isn't through the door yet so everybody keep praying for all the lost of this world. We who are already saved need to be throwing out the same life preserver we grabbed onto, Jesus. Sometimes, though, all you can do for a person is pray.

Idiot is right... of course, he's probably 11 years old and would have been better off being born an Inquisitor, so whatever. Of course, if he knew what he was talking about he would know that people don't go to hell...
