Oh, but I was reading something interesting on Wikipedia yesterday. The brain structure of men and women is different, as in different peices are in different places. What it ends up meaning is that women have a more stable IQ, ie the smartest people are male, and so are the stupidest.

They arent better than men, but it goes both ways, IMO. They both have redeeming and betraying qualities.

Mega, I'm getting sick of this. Quit treating me like I'm some weak little manservant, because I only helped you with this god forsaken war for 2 reasons. 1, you put me in charge of ODEC, and I felt like I owed it to you for placing that kind of faith in me. 2, I felt like helping you out, because I didnt know it would go straight to your head and make you even more of a self righteous, pigheaded, domineering megalomaniac.

Hmm....

This thread is certianly not where I left it....

Women and Men are equal in my opinion. Each, as Dave said, has the equal oportunity to be so sweet and loving or a complete jerk. There are plenty of people I can point out here where I live which serve all the examples I should ever require.

((However, I do think you ought to notice how I placed "Women" before "Men" and how you both worded your statements so that "Men" was before "Women"))

Hmm... I have no idea what the convesation was about until you got to the subject of men and women.

Here's what I have to say: They are not equal, but neither is better than the other. Neither is able to declare lordship over the other. They're both human, so they're all equal in God's love, and that's all that matters.

BTW, by referring to "men and women" instead of "women and men" does not show which side is preferred. Most of the time, when two are put together in a phrase, the older is said first, with nothing against the younger. Man (Adam) was created before women(Eve), so it is natural to say man and woman instead of woman and man. For examle, how many times do you refer to Cain and Abel as "Abel and Cain"? Even though Abel should probably be the one said first, he isn't because he is the younger.

So, I don't think it is of any matter what order you say men and women, just one is the more traditional way of saying it.

(And i'm sure that Star wasn't expecting someone to make an argument based on her little statement in parentheses at the end of her post. Sorry, Star)

One COULD argue thus and certainly it may be true in some circumstances...such as Cain and Able, however other theories persist.

Such as the alphabetical order in which "Men" and "Women" appear, both equal, as you eventually pointed out.

Cain and Able would seem to appose this, however in this case, the one who was the idiot is mentioned first, the surviving of the two. The most famous of a story is usually mentioned first or the surviving of the story in this case.

Adam and Eve is alphabetical, both being equally dumb for believing the serpant and eating the fruit.

Sademn and Gamora, I have no idea on...

Other examples ellude me, however, I severely doubt order gets too important once you stray from the sterotypical path. We say "Men and Women" because that is how we've been taught. If the world said, "Women and men" we would be able to say that in our mind FIRST without effort or coincisously.

It is all a matter of conditioning of the mind's connections with other things. We are taught THIS is blue, however to someone else, it may appear green or white, though they recognize it as blue. It may be that some day we realize the eyes of one person sees a world of purples and yellows instead of blue and green as I see it.

It is all a matter of perspectives...and it something mankind, or humankind, will never be truly able to understand the affects of the world around us has. Each of us sees something different, a human factor and condition not all together bad.

Hmm... I have no idea why we say Sodom and Gomorrah (correct spelling, I looked it up) in that order either. But, like you said, its just a conditioning thing.

As a final thing, if someone is worried about what order something is said in, then they're worrying needlessly. If the order does matter, you use numbers, rankings, and other methods to show that the order matters. Other than that, I see no reason that anyone should worry at all about what order things are mentioned.
