Well, Gond and Gabriel started a fight with Otori. But they challenged the might of Ember, and are now rotting in a cell.

About adding tributary cities....

My original stance remains the same. I say let Ember have as many mercs/pressed soldiers as it can muster before the city is completely surrounded, but to have other cities isn't feasible or logical. Ember is a boil on the face of the Elven Forests and the elves want it lanced. It's an isolated city which has always been an independent concern all its own with no neighboring cities or villages. At least this is the take that I got from Mega's original description. It's really not for me, or Mega, to say since Star seems to be back for a bit. I say PM her since we appear to be at a stalemate. Let her decide.

Hey, it was Sampson who wanted the allies. I plan on just upholding my end by making some nasty siege machines and training the soldiers to be the best they can be in the time we have.

Machievelli said that when training soldiers, cruelty is reccommended, if not necessary. Especially inhuman cruelty. Who better to turn a rabble of mercenaries into a horde of bloodthirtsy elf-slayers than KH?

Mega, I meant to answer your question about your avatar a long time ago, but never got round to it. I think it's great! It kind of reminds me of that Disney movie, "That Darn Cat." The cat was from outerspace and had an extremely powerful mind, telekineses, the whole bit.

Yeah, true. Come to think of it, Machievelli also warned against using mercenaries, because they were only loyal as long as things were safe and peaceful. Hey, KH may be a chivalrous kind of guy(most of the time) but he is ruthless when it comes to winning. He will do anything it takes, from making deadly siege weapons to brutalizing soldiers.

And what is this about a stale mate? I haven't gotten any PMs and I'm quite confused about the mercinary bit.

Yes, Ember WILL be on its own in this endevor. And YES, it will take ALL forces from the outside, including Akhonne and the Pra Yer Warriors to crack the city. Dave has set up VERY good defence systems and Mega has down well with the stragity, as far as I have read, which was two weeks ago.

I am sorry for being gone so long...But we didn't make it to state, despite my second over all score, so I'll be on ALOT more now....*sigh*....life is too complicated. I dread it when it gets more so when i get older....

Mega, WoF, and Dave. Please PM or post here to me as soon as you can upon what exactly is going on here for your character and what this "stalemate" is all about.

I dont recall the stalemate business, so it must not be important, hahaha. As for what is going on, Otori(new general), Kalt-Hammer, Kamahl, Borkeau, and Everel are STILL stuck in that meeting. However, we have been PM'ing plans back and forth. Although I never posted a scene, Dagnir found out about Everel's anti elf edict the hard way, and is now in Lumloria, bleeding all over the throneroom floor and shouting for Roltal to get the spies out before they share his fate.

Yeah, and Maldirk's ambush force was trapped by a few Protectors. They decided to take a few elves with them, so WoF got TO. Maldirk was the only survivor, and he's dressing up like a wounded elf to get inside Lumloria and assassinate Roltal.

I see....well that is very well done. Before I had to pause my posting there was a failed raid squad. I seem to remember two Elven traitors. I forget who and where they are. They were to take control of these 'troops' however with the surprise attack of this other general guy who anilated them, I sent the survivors to Roltal. Enough time has passed that they arrived. And also that their General has found Xhile.

Where is the Elven Master Spy and where are any elven troops? I need to know ALL details...

They are in Ember, and Cop posted their locations. All are elvish, and will be killed on sight. Although, they should never have made it in at all. No matter. We on the Emberian side are being incredibly secretive and nobody is permitted to leave Ember until after the siege, by Mega's order. Which kinda sux for Kalt....unless we win...

OK. Here are the facts that I understand:

1.) Sathria and Party are in the city
2.) Xhile is in the city
3.) The Lumloria Spy Master is in the City
4.) The Lumlorian Commander is in the city
5.) All of Everel's Generals are in the city

And. The meeting is still going on. Xhile has found Reshlu and is 'chasing' to meet up later. A new edict is that everyone must have identification and all women are inslaved.

Am I missing anyting???

All elven men are to be executed, and all elven women are to be detained. Everyone without identification is to be detained until they can prove who they are.

Everel thinks it incredibly rude that Xhile hasn't shown up for his meeting. If this kind of behavior continues, he will apoint Nina head of his spies.

The way I understand it Sampson X wanted to have some neighboring cities helping Ember in the war. There was no need to PM you about it because you were involved in RL things that are more important than posting. I think everyone understood that it could wait till you got back. Anyway, you already answered it in the post I quoted above.
