Technically, Britain doesn't exist in the world of Redwall, but if you mean the accent/dialect, then I see your point. Typical otter accent basically means putting "mate" on the end of everything.

I'll make a suggestion, if I may....

New characters are great, and I look forward to RPing with both of you, but a big part of an RPG's success is how it functions as a story. And in good stories, the author usually doesn't introduce every new character by having them run into the main group. He waits, lets them meet up along the way, form alliances with others before they run into the main group.

What I'm saying is: Don't take the easy way out. Don't have both of your characters just be wandering out in the forest and run into the main group; Renight already used that one and made it work. To have it happen twice more would just be unbelievable. RP with each other for a while. Maybe have one of them be at Redwall. I have at least two more characters I plan on bringing in that your chracters can interact with. Also, having characters in different locations would bring different perspectives to the story. After all, stuff isn't just happening to Gale, Jesir, Rakshun, Teo and Catava.

There's my $.02.....take it or leave it.
