Do you believe the scriptures are inspired by God?

  • Beyond a shadow of a doubt! 100%.

  • No, it is simply another history book written by men.

  • It is simply a storybook to guide you through life. It contains no direct commandments from God.

  • Fiction. Pure Fiction.

Mixee, I am glad you have posed this question in the form and manner in which you have. It makes the choice so simple and clear. It elimanates the middle ground and seperates the sheep from the goats, as it were.

Of course, as born again believers we accept God's Word as inspired, inerrant, and infallible. The Gnostics attitude of "superior knowledge" would have us to believe that because there are versions that may seem to contain errors in translations, that the Word of God, Itself, is suspect. We, as born again Christians, KNOW that is not so.

There are no other answers that would be fitting, necessary, or appropriate in this poll. The question is simple. Do you believe it or not. It is yes or no, and there is no middle ground.

You cannot be half a Christian. Either you will follow Christ or you will not.
Jesus said:

Matthew 6:24: "No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon."

The fact is, if there is ONE error in the Word of God, you may as well throw the whole thing in the trash, for how can you know what else is true and what is a lie.

No, there is no middle gound. It is black or white, true or false. Just like marriage and pregnancy; either you are or you are not.

You are my Aaron, Gerry. I don't have that gift with words, but you summed up exactly how I feel about the subject. It is encouraging to know there are others out there who find this as black and white as I do. A LOT of the people I know are perfectly comfortable in their gray area, and yes I do mean Christians.

Thanks. Mixee. :)

Thanks Mixee for the kind words, but I guarantee I am much more of a Moses in general. lol

Thing is I do feel so strongly that those who name the Name of Christ ought to love and respect Him enough to actually follow Him and not try to twist and explain away His Words. It ought to be that we defend Him, and His Word and not tear Him down, and make Him less than He is! It is a sad thing when non Christians attack Christ, but when I see professing Christians do it, I am grieved.

heheeh Gerry, nothing wrong with saying, BUT Lord, who do I tell them sent me... and Gerry would say..... :)

"I am hath sent me!" LOL, Reeann! I meant only that I am more of a moses in the sense that I, like Moses, may be slow of speech and stutter and stammer, when I am standing on Holy Ground and acting on my own. But as I said before the passion of doing works comes in the doing of them, and as you can see by his reaction later in the wilderness there seems to have been times when Moses' speech was anything but slow or halting.
