Online test?

My friend found an online test to test whether you're O.C.D

the maximum marks were 40 and i got 20. 12 plus means that you are likely to be ocd so as you can imagine im a bit worried.

Obviously its just an online test so it could mean nothing but I'd really appreciate if some people [OCD or not] could take it and tell me there score and if they have been diagnosed with OCD

Hi, I took it, got quite a high score but not certain that I did it right...cos I worry about things like that...and yes I do have a diagnosis of OCD. You're best bet I'd say is to see a doctor though as any on-line test can only be a guideline....and if you're worried maybe they can help either put your mind at rest or point you in the right direction for help. Are you seeing a doctor? what exactly are you experiancing?

You really need to get diagnosed by a doctor to know for sure

I took the test and scored a 22, but as Jayangel said, I wouldn't rely on an online test to diagnose the disorder. It's best to see a professional who is trained to recognize the symptoms. (I have mostly pure "O" OCD without many outward compulsions).
You will need to be very open and honest with the Dr. about the nature of your thoughts and how they effect you.
Having OCD doesn't mean that you can't live a normal life. Everyone suffers afflictions of one sort or another. The good thing for the Christian is that even the afflictions can "break like blessings on our heads."

I also scored 22, and am also mostly pure O. I agree with the others. If you are worried, see a doctor. I saw one early and started exposure and response prevention early. This meant my OCD got its buds frosted before it really took off, so although I have had very nasty episodes, it has been relatively easy for me

I took the test, and answered as I would have 15yrs ago. I scored a 30. I'm surprised it wasn't higher, actually. If I took it as I'm doing now, I would score quite low, I'm sure.

Glad you pointed that out Seajoy. I actually took it according to how I've been when my OCD is in the drivers seat. If I took it as to how I am today after meds. and practicing exposure response my score would be low also. So I just want to add to what you said by agreeing that the therapy really works!!
