Jesus did say, "Fear not little flock..."
Except God didn't write anything. Men wrote the Bible, not God. So, as I said before, it's idolatry of the Bible to claim that the Bible is right and that God's actual creation is wrong.
You are entitled to that opinion.
Luke 12, verses 32-40.
Not really talking about creationists there...
He was referring to the relative size of the body of believers. "Many are called (who call themselves 'Christians'), but few are chosen."
Except he wasn't because he was talking about how the Pharisees operated.
I don't think the Pharisees called themselves Christians, falsely or or sincerely.
I think they call themselves creationists now.I don't think the Pharisees called themselves Christians, falsely or or sincerely. Wasn't Paul the only ranking Jewish leader that God ever called? Nicodemus believed but I don't think he was called.
The Pharisees were Jewish, as would Jesus' followers and Jesus himself have been at the time of the Bible.
I think they call themselves creationists now.
Only a few of Jesus followers were Jewish, nationally or religiously.
Still doesn't really change anything I said.
Of course.
So, back to my question: if God is so powerful, why is that he couldn't have created the myriad forms of life via evolution?
He could have of course, but did he? Creationist don't believe he did.
And yet all of the evidence heavily suggests that he did.
So, and this is not to try and trap but this is just more of a rhetorical question, with that fact in hand, we are left with two options. Either:
A: God's creation is right and it's the Biblical story that is wrong or,
B: Either the Bible is right and something is very wrong with God's creation.
Do you accept this as true for these two contradictory statements?
I think he means that given the choice (as a Christian) between two incomprehensible theories regarding creation he is more comfortable with the bible account than with the scientific account.
Not at all. I'm a Gap Theory believer, not a YEC. There is no conflict with the bible account and the apparent age of the earth.
