One more week until the start of the summer box office season and I'm psyched and in anticipation of Spiderman 3 next weekend, I pose this question to you:
As far as heroes go, Spiderman and Batman have strikingly similar origin stories. Both feel responsible for the death of a parent figure, both were raised by an old wise adoptive parent and both took the philosophy of their deceased parent to heart. The difference however being that Bruce Wayne went on to be motivated more by vengeance and Peter Parker motivated more by his values. So my question becomes, why did one hero go the darker path and the other the lighter parth?
