A little talk about the Holy Spirit sure spooks the gays. I wonder why.

They tell us we all have that same spirit inside of us like brothers and sisters.

But there's just nothing for them to talk about. oookeee.

Ahhh! This is always my favorite part of the thread: the traditional thumping of manly chests, the declairing of hetro victory, followed by the time honored "Man I guess you showed them gays a thing or two!" from the cheering section. The air is thick with assumed spiritual machismo!

Well we can always use more prayer and softer hearts, so thanks! Of course the problem is most of us are already following the Word of God (Jesus) and walking in the light He's given us, but again, we can all use more light.

Thanks again! Of course Sodom was destroyed because of not taking care of the poor and of oppressing weaker people. So it's good not to do that.

Lets pray for those who represent themselves as crusaders in their avatars, who now seek to conquer those that they deem unworthy. They represent Christianity as being warlike and they as conquerers of the unjust. Lets pray that they also will become lowly of heart.

The word "sodomy" means oppressing the poor..Just look it up in ANY dictionary..

They also had this very peculiar custom of gang-raping male visitors that came to town. Some kind of an initiation or something...Like a fraternity...(just for men). I assure you it had nothing to do with sexual attraction. The bible never said anything bad about fraternities you know.

You'll never find the word "fraternity" in the bible, and Sodom was really a college town. Some of the graduates are right here on this forum. Don't ask to see their sheepskin though. Bad idea. It kind of means something else, like somebody was a little too friendly with pets.

Amen Lincoln. I think actually the larger issue is discerning of spirits here. Morality is a big part of it though.

Actually I kind of like it when the Lord uses his word as a hammer to break my heart and remake it, and when I am oppressed He is there with me.

So you are making an attempt to be clever and catch me in error. Didn't the Pharasees do the same to Jesus ? You should make an attempt to not be so haughty and judgemental, but be humble and lowly of heart.

When one accepts Christ, one joins a side. It is a war and the battlefield is the mind. Guess what? We win!

He is the nearly the only one who speaks out of the righteousness of Christ and His Word! He doesn't mince words. Neither did Jesus. When you come across scripture that has to do with homosexuality, it is cast in a very bad light. Male visitors in towns almost being gang raped to being called abominable by God Himself. For those who say that being gay wasn't what He meant, but idolatry practises, we can add that to the list also. Why, in all the Bible, did God not raise up a gay person to serve Him? God is not a God of confusion. If He condoned a person being gay, why did He not plainly say so? There are rules for a husband and his wife. The man should be the head of the household and the woman is supposed to submit to her husband. Why is there not rules for how a man should treat his husband or a women her wife? The Bible is God's Word. Infallible. Don't say you don't trust the translation; this is too important a topic for God to allow men to twist. He knew how people would argue about this; why didn't He say he condoned being gay instead of giving us bad examples of homosexuality?
