CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

It means that you have to answer to your own higher goals; use your empathy and intellect to decide what is good and bad.
And ultimately you have to take personal responsibility for the effects of your all too brief life.

Isn't it great? You only get one short shot at life, so you need to make it memorable and try your hardest to make a positive impression on people you meet, so that when you die, you will live on in the memories of others.
You need to get the things you want done done yourself, and do the best you can to make the world a better place than you left it, because there isn't a mystical being that is going to make everything better for you and everybody else. Also, everything that occurs in your life, positive and negative, was your choice. It was your life, and people are going to remember you for the choices you make and the things that you did.

Pretty much. Of course there are restraints due to the fact that you're living in a society with laws, sorrounded by people who wish to be treated as you do. Act unethically and there will usually be consequences.
I don't personally see this creature anywhere. But accepting the natural explanations provided by science doesn't mean that you have to give up your theism.

I think its not one cell that evolved into multi cellular life. Different single cell organisms evolved to be good at their tasks. Multi cellular life evolved from these early cells symbiotically, that is multi cellular creatures are made up of different single cells doing different jobs.
I remind you I am not a biologist, but I think this is close to how they thing multi cellular organisms evolved.
So humans evolved from many single cell species NOT ONE

Evolution occurs, by definition, in populations of replicators, not in individuals. Don't be ignorant.

It didn't really. It formed from much simpler "proto-lifeforms" that existed before it.

You have to be careful with sarcasm on the internet, since no-one can hear the tone of your voice.
Anyone can live their life how they see fit, regardless of their opinions re evolution and so on. Whether they have regrets or not depends entirely on circumstances.
As for "their[sic] cant[sic] be a god i[sic] mean wheres[sic] the proof" I think most atheists would say, "I see no reason to believe in God, I mean - where's the evidence?" which is subtly, but importantly different.

Evolution is not a conscious choice, but that is evolution in a very, very small nutshell.
Also, it is interesting that everyone here at this forum started out as a single cell, a fertilized ovum. Over time that single cell developed into a ball of cells, then into layers of tissue, and then into the human being you are today. I don't see why this same progress spread over the last 3.5 billion years through the mechanism of evolution is such a problem.
