What is one book... 1 book, that you have benefitted most greatly from in your walk with God. Excluding the Bible. Talking about a Christian literature, not "inspired".

Who wrote the book you are referencing, what was its main point of emphasis, why/how did it help you grow?

I tried reading other books , but man they false. if any says the shack your getting rebuked.
Or rick warren , or joel olstein, or brian McLaren .
their are so many names I could list. But brother I don't have the time it takes.
I tried to read some other books , I really did. But they false .
IF you KNOW of a good one , let me know. I did read when a nation forgets God. It was good.
And one other I cant remember the name . But other than that. Heck no their is false hoods in so many.
Td jakes, benny hinn, heck let me just prosperity writers .
Oh yeah and don't read any emergent church leaders books.

OH, in when a nation forgets God , it did not help me grow. IT did however CONFIRM a lot of truth.
I was like finally , by grace someone wrote something good to read.

I have read a lot of great books by some really good authors.

Andrew Murray
AZ Tozer
Derek Prince
Dwight Moody
Francis Chan

But I think more than any other the book that has really propelled me forward in my relationship with God is:

The Practice of the Presence of God by Brother Lawrence

This book speaks so much truth and wisdom about growing in our relationships with our Father and how to do so. It gave me such a love for God that I honestly do not know how to describe it.

Another great book as a secondary note is "Forgotten God" by Francis Chan

I have heard of Az tozar. I think a lady I know has brought some of his teachings.
I think that is the name. What she sent seemed good. I will check it out.

Celebration of Discipline by Richard J. Foster served as my spiritual primer after I was baptized. It's still of great value today.

The Kneeling Christian (Unknown Christian) is the deepest book on prayer that I've ever read.
