• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

Once upon a time i was all right. My spiritual life was in fire. I was on fire.
Serving the LORD with all my heart and soul. That was 3 years ago.
I know about GOD since i was 10 years old. I've been i different churches and that showed that GOD wanted something from. First i started with "North County Babtist church with Pastor Miller" i was there for about 2 months, then my family moved to mexico, during my stay at mexico i was invited to 3 different churches, long story short, i ended up at a Babtist church but in spanish.

In 2006 i started the christian life. I started all right.
During those years i had a good job. I was serving the LORD and working...

Right now, im unemplyoed, i have not found a job and im slacking on serving GOD.... There are days that im with my brother.
There are days that i miss church.

My point is that i've fallen short, i believe that i have lost the favor of God, do you know how to get back the favor of GOD. I still believe that i have my salvation, but i do not have the favor of God.

Please help me, how can i get near to GOD....

My dear brother, we have all fallen short. But God's favour doesn't depend on anything that we do or don't do... He loves us and accepts us because of what Jesus has done.
There is nothing you can ever do or not do that will change God's love for you.

As for getting near to God.. it is like getting close to anyone, friend, partner etc. It takes time.. time spent with Him, reading His word, listening to Him, just being with Him.
God loves you very much indeed... rest in that, enjoy His presence, and remember, His grace is immense, and you do not need to earn it, just to be grateful for it.

God bless you.
