  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

When we lived in Kalispell, Montana, we used to shop at this tiny health food store called "Cup of Sun" It was so nice. There was a wall with shelves up to the ceiling with gallon jars of tea blends. I used to buy the leaves by the pound. NOthing better in the middle of a Montana winter than a pot of tea with honey. My favorite was one called "#??" ( I can't for the life of me remember the darned number!!!!) Its bugged me for years!

Maybe those Montana winters froze too many brain cells. :(

Current favorite tea? Bengal Spice by Celestial Seasonings. It is really good, with vanilla, cardamon, and a touch of black pepper. No caffeine, Avila, you might try it.

My favorite tea is . Lipton Green Tea, with orange and jasmine,,it is so soothing especially on a cold damp day.

My tea that I drink before bedtime is by Private Selection, and is called Quiet Moments, with rose, spearmint, and pekoe tea, it is wonderful, I have a cup of it about an hour before bed and drift right off to sleep.

Mmm.. I like the Republic of Tea's "Rainforest Tea". Also, the Repulic Green Chai... Stash teas are good, so are Tazo teas - I have a friend who mixes decaf black tea with Tazo's Passion, and it is sooo good! Really, I like pretty much every tea, though. :) I have some new ideas for some new tea flavors, thanks ladies! :)

Oh, I go wild with my herb garden and my tea bags. I am a caffeine hound at work, but when I come home my tea is decaf. Coffee is HOT, tea is COLD. I've got one of those Iced Tea makers by Mr Coffee, and it is my best friend.

Good Earth tea...............VERY yummy, tastes sweet with no sugar added! Bigelow makes a Peach tea (also decaf) which is out of this world...I also buy plain decaf teabags. And when I go shopping at the Loma Linda Market for my daughter's meatless goodies, we take our noses for a stroll down the tea aisle. I found this incredible tea called "Cocoa Spice."

So, I'll put maybe two decaf bags, two Good Earth, a small handful of Pineapple Sage leaves....or maybe a couple of Peach Tea, one Good Earth tea, one decaf bag, and some lemon balm leaves. My poor chocolate mint plant kicked the bucket (awwwwwwwwww) but I got a couple of pitchers of tea with my apple mint plant.

For some reason, I'm thirsty....

Peace and pitchers,
~VOW
