Thanks. I got to thinking I might ought to verify those figures... Hate to spread rumors.
Okay, checked on the terrorist thing - it may be closer to 3100, but still good enough to keep my blinkie.

Good one, academic!

Imblessed: I'm not Hicksite(?) whatever that is. I've only ever been to a few Quaker meetings as they're rather thin on the ground around here but I always liked their peace stance & their attitude to women but I don't like the new age leanings many of them are going towards. I tried a few Quaker forums & nearly died! I couldn't believe some ot the stuff I read; some 'quakers' weren't even Christians & that's definitely not for me!
I'm sorry Jehane. I meant that quote for Mumbai, not for you......silly me! :)

Anyway, I agree with you about some of those Quaker forums....there are far too many non-christian "quakers" in the world. Poor George Fox is probably rolling in his grave! lol

I mean the following quote for Mumbai....
Jehane---I don't mean to imply that just because your church is Hicksite means you are unorthodox. It's just more likely than not, simply because the Hicksite Quakers ARE more accepting of personal interpretation and rely heavily on their leadings from the Holy Spirit. Unfortunately some have not taken the time to back up what they get from the "holy spirit" with the Bible. The bible should always, always be our template. Doesn't mean your church is like that......
