Has anyone ever worked at Old Navy? I applied for a job there last week and one of my friends works there. I'm hoping to get an interview on Monday or Tuesday. If you have worked there : Did you like working there? What all was involved in the training and were they flexible as far as hours are concerned?

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I'm actually beginning to think that they are not going to hire me. I hate to say this, but I really think they have taken affirmative action too far there. I've noticed lately when I've shopped there and knowing some people who work there that the employees are mainly one minority group. I know one of the managers belongs to that minority group. I'm not sure if he just feels more comfortable hiring those of his own race or not, but it just doesn't really seem fair. Maybe I'm wrong, but it does seem that they aren't interested in hiring white people. Maybe they are wanting to get more minorities to come and shop?

Maybe, he is hiring people he already knows. And if he is a part of a minority group, that could be the reason.
