Hey cookieboo  Who do you think is a very worthy charitable organization?
I love anything the Salvation Army does and I really think that Compassion Canada is very good. Where I live there is a Christian organization that "gleans" produce that would normally be thrown away and dries the fruit and veggies and makes wonderful dried soup mix that is sent all over the world. They are called "The Gleaners"

Would you mind sharing your testimony with us? :) (how you became a Christian)
....that is a long story..... the short of it would be that I came out of an alcoholic home - I was on my own 2 weeks after my 16th birthday. I went through a lot of crap that I would never want to relive but that God has redeemed and has made count for something. I have 2 ex step fathers and my biological dad choose to not have a relationship with me for reasons that vary between my faith convicting him, my looking so much like my mom, and his wife making him choose between her and us (his 4 kids)- we lost.

Through God's grace, I came out of an abusive first marriage when I was 25 and I have now been married for 14 years to my second husband I have a ministry with youth and I am continuing to heal and allow God Lordship in all areas of my life. I minister to some kids that have pretty crappy home lives and one thing I always try to get across to them is that God can redeem any situation, any hurt, any trial. He will not waste anything and he can make it count for something beautiful and good, and one day, they may find themselves sitting where I am sitting, talking to a young girl about abuse, cutting, broken homes.....and they will understand God's redeeming power in their lives. What can I say - God has been so good to me!
