Have you ever taught bible study? And if so, did you enjoy it?
Yes, I used to be a Women's Ministry team leader. It was really a walk of faith for me because I am very shy but I lead or co-lead quite a few and they were great! I think I probably learned more than anyone else and wow, leading a bible study sure keeps you accountable in your walk with Jesus!

If you could have a most perfect day can you describe what you would do??...
I would spend the whole day on the beach with my kids and husband swimming, playing, reading, eating sushi and bbq chicken burgers. And then go home after watching the sun set and play Monopoly with my family!!

What is your philosophy on escapism?

Escapism:diversion of the mind to imaginative activity as an escape from routine.:)

Hmmm..... I do it frequently;) I think it's one of those mechanisms we have that help us process and deal with situations in our daily lives. I have always been into the arts and I love to read, and I am also a loner at heart. I think it all depends on what form of escapism you use and if it is a positive or a negative in your life. I love the reality of my life and my walk with Jesus but wow, going to see the live production of the Lion King is an amazing wonderful recharging form of escapism that I would practice daily if I could!

well, we can tell your favorite movie (it's one of mine too), how about your 2nd favorite?

edie
Yah, I never get tired of It's a Wonderful Life - It's a great movie. I love old Fred Astaire and Gene Kelly movies, but I have to say, that I love the Lord of The Rings trilogy. I waited a long time for them to be done on the big screen and Peter Jackson did a wonderful job. I am now waiting impatiently for Narnia to come out!!!! That will probably replace LOTR as my second favorite:)

How did you meet your husband, and how long have you been married?
God has a sense of humor.....I met my husband through my mother of all things! I was living in another province and my mother was having a drink at a lounge that the teachers and their spouses gathered at. ( My mom's third ex-hubby was a teacher:p ) Anyway, my husband walked in and being new, my mother went to introduce herself to him and they started talking and mom found out that he was single, so she whipped out a picture of me and my 15 month old son and gave him my phone number.... we had a long distance phone relationship for about 1 year - then I asked him to marry me and he said YES!!!! Woo Hoo!! We will celebrate our 14 anniversary in January.

Do you read any devotionals?
If so, what?
Yes, I do:) I've done various ones. Our church has the Daily Bread devotionals that my husband does but I really like Morning and Evening by Charles Spurgeon. Here is an excerpt of the June 28 morning reading which really spoke so much truth to me:

It is ever the Holy Spirit's work to turn our eyes away from self to Jesus: but Satan's work is just the opposite of this, for he is constantly trying to make us regard ourselves instead of Christ. He insinuates, "Your sins are too great for pardon; you have no faith; you do not repent enough; you will never be able to continue to the end; you have not the joy of His children; you have such a wavering hold of Jesus." All these are thoughts about self, and we shall never find comfort or assurance by looking within.........

I also like to do the weekly Torah readings from a site called Hebrew4Christians. They have the weekly Torah readings and a corresponding reading from the prophets and New Testament.:liturgy:

It is really cool. I still get a big grin on my face just thinking back:D

We usually just go out for dinner and then come home and spend time with the kids. For our tenth we went away to a really fancy hotel that had jacuzzi suites and a swanky restaurant. It was the best time but it was good to get home to see the kids and get back into our jeans:p

Do you copy and paste your questions to everyone in this forum? Or do you give your questions more of a personal touch?

I don't copy and paste:) though I sometimes ask the same question to different people. I think after reading the persons responses, the questions that I ask become more of a personal nature.
