Besides this, the New Covenant has no divorce provision. But bank robbery can?? No.
But what does repentance look like for a person who was sinned against by their spouse committing adultery and then divorcing them? Which sin are they supposed to be repenting from?
Written to BELIEVERS:Not for believers. The hard hearted.
God had Uriah killed so David could repent. As with all sins.
King David was forgiven.
That message sent to all.

There is a LOT of carryover from the Abrahamic to the Mosaic covenants, and from the Mosaic to the New Covenant.Besides this, the New Covenant has no divorce provision.
David had Uriah killed, not God.God had Uriah killed so David could repent.
No mention of divorce as being a provision of God in the NT.There is a LOT of carryover from the Abrahamic to the Mosaic covenants, and from the Mosaic to the New Covenant.
The rule of ancient covenant renewal is anything not specifically addressed or deleted gets carried over as is.
How well did they do?Written to BELIEVERS:
Hebrews 3:15
while it is said, “Today if you hear His voice, Do not harden your hearts, as when they provoked Me.”
God orders all that happens to happen.David had Uriah killed, not God.
God had Uriah killed so David could repent.
God ordered it or it would not happen.NO -- David had him killed.

Let's expand the context ...Not bound does not mean not married. = She no longer must submit.
What do you mean by "be with"?Is it ok to be with this woman she had 2 civil marriages and that was before Christ came into her life and both relationships I believe the former husbands left her and cheated on her and abused her.. is it ok to be with her in this type of situation?
Yes, she has become "One Flesh" with two other men and will always be spiritually connected to them. They will not be ever forgotten nor cease to have an affect on her present state of mind, even if she is unaware of it.Divorce is not an option in the New Covenant. You are married for life even if separated.
Not Married? Let's not rewrite the bible.Let's expand the context ...
1 Corinthians 7
12 But to the rest say I, not the Lord: If any brother hath an unbelieving wife, and she is content to dwell with him, let him not leave her.
13 And the woman that hath an unbelieving husband, and he is content to dwell with her, let her not leave her husband.
14 For the unbelieving husband is sanctified in the wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified in the brother: else were your children unclean; but now are they holy.
15 Yet if the unbelieving departs, let him depart: the brother or the sister is not under bondage in such [cases]: but God hath called us in peace.
What do you mean by "be with"?
Dating is fine.. Having coffee is fine.. Socializing is fine..
Sometimes people mean "Sexual relations" when they say "be with".
If you are to date and propose and marry her... and you are both Christians.... why not?
Is it ok to be with this woman she had 2 civil marriages and that was before Christ came into her life and both relationships I believe the former husbands left her and cheated on her and abused her.. is it ok to be with her in this type of situation?
There is no provision for using musical instruments in the NT either. No mention of divorce as being a provision of God in the NT.
you should talk to your pastor about it. 100 people will have 100 opinions on it (and 100 verses to support it). Many will quote 1 Cor 7 that tells us if there is abonnement then you are not bound to your spouse. But 1 Cor 7 also tells us that we should remain as we are called and not look for a change of status after salvation. Is it ok to be with this woman she had 2 civil marriages and that was before Christ came into her life and both relationships I believe the former husbands left her and cheated on her and abused her.. is it ok to be with her in this type of situation?
that totally ignores God giving men free will.God ordered it or it would not happen.
Welcome! Only God knows the heart. And you my friend need to find out more information. You say you "believe" her former husbands left her, cheated on her and abused her. Do you actually know? The issue is not her past, it is her fruit. Now that she is a member of the Body of Christ changes occur that only the Holy Spirit can manifest in her life. That being said, proceed with caution, ask many questions and take your time to know her and her family. Not all who say they have been regenerated show the fruits of that regeneration. Is it ok to be with this woman she had 2 civil marriages and that was before Christ came into her life and both relationships I believe the former husbands left her and cheated on her and abused her.. is it ok to be with her in this type of situation?
