no you weren't. in the first statement you don't even describe evolution. you are just presenting your own fake version of evolution. you can say evolution is rubbish if you like, but find something in evolution that you think is rubbish, rather than making up a false version of it, and then calling that rubbish. this is the essence of a strawman argument, and my issue with you still holds:

if you believe that your first statement is a description of evolution, then you obviously know nothing about it, and hence your second statement is a lie, because anyone who has studied evolution would not claim what you did.

yeah... another thing I find is that someone starts a thread, you refute what they have to say... later on in the thread they jump back in without ever refuting what you said, and just continuing on like nothing happened... :/

So ya think everything just formed on its own? It jsut came about.. The world/earth had everything we needed as humans to exsist.. That everything fit into place so perfect.

It's called evolution. The world is far from "perfect". You are looking at it with the mind set that everything around you came into existence just for you. If you look at it from the point of view that everything we know evolved together, it would explain why everything seems to fit into place so perfectly.

It is the selfish human way. We feel like we are "it" and nothing else we know compares to us, so there must be a reason why we are "it". If we didn't exist something else would take our place even though they might not have the reasoning skills to come to the conclusion that everything around "it" was there to satisfy "it's" needs. Things existed on this planet long before humans ever did. God was created by humans to help satisfy the need that we have for purpose.

Hey, allout2k3, I'm not sure if you noticed but you made no attempt to refute punctuated equilibrium. You refuted gradualism (not too difficult a task) but completely avoided punctuated equilibrium. Did you forget to address it? Just curious
