M faust,

The simplest explanation I can think of is to imagine I have been charged with every sin or crime I have ever done since I was old enough to know right from wrong...
everything... from lying to hating to stealing to all that secret crap we're all guilty of....

I imagine what it would feel like to get the death penalty for all of it ;how scared and sorry I would be.

My Big Brother comes to court and offers to take my place if they will let me go.
He takes my place and allows them to put him to death instead of me. And He does all of this with a depth of love and compassion for me that I don't understand or deserve.

So far, I've done nothing for him my whole life, but He has always looked out for me even when I didn't know He was around. I walk away with no record of any kind even though I am guilty of them all.

That's all there is to it for me. He loves me. He is God, and no amount of debate or thought on my part can change that. It just is.

I decided to give him one genuine try to see if all of this was for real. A genuine try. If I found out it was a lie, I lost a little time. But if it was real... well, He would have to prove it to me.

So I gave him the opportunity to prove it to me. He did. He proved everything. But that is not for me to discuss because I can never convince you anyway; only He can. Give him a real opportunity and see what happens. That's between you and him and no one else has any business facilitating that. Give it whatever you have to give for a little while and test Him. God bless you.

let me try to get this right.. Sorry if I am off the mark.

In order to avoid going to Hell, I have to profess, confirm my belief and love, and soul to God. Not just any God, but the Christian God 'YHWH'

What if I never do any of the above? Do I go to Hell? But i do not believe, so i cannot go to Hell... Can I ??

What if I never confess my sins, as again, I do not believe in the christian ways, so again, I cannot go to Hell.

What if I am not a bad person and have lived a good life, but refuse to accept the christian god, what then?

Your asking from Christians perspective but let e tell you the truth.

First of all,no human should confess their sins to anyone.and no human should reveal others sins to anyone.

If you wanna repent, you do it directly to The Creator who is The Most Gracious and Most Merciful.

If you take care others sins(hiding their sins and didn't expose it to public) ,your sins will be hidden by The Creator.

Secondly ,going to hell or not going to hell depend on the Mercy of The Creator. But He has clearly mentioned that Worship Him alone.

The Creator has His rules and you must obey the rules and only He knows how we are suppose to live this life.

Example:

If you create a machine, only you alone know the mechanism of the machine. You must create a manual book so that others know how it functions.

Same goes to The Creator has a manual book and you must read HIs manual book.

People used to ask me do Christians and Jews and other non muslims go to hell?

The answer is yes and no. :)
Only People of The Book goes to paradise if they

002.062 Those who believe (in the Qur'an), and those who follow the Jewish (scriptures), and the Christians and the Sabians,- any who believe in God and the Last Day, and work righteousness, shall have their reward with their Lord; on them shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve.

005.069 Those who believe (in the Qur'an), those who follow the Jewish (scriptures), and the Sabians and the Christians,- any who believe in Allah and the Last Day, and work righteousness,- on them shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve.

People of the Book do not go to paradise
005.072 They do blaspheme who say: "(Allah) is Christ the son of Mary." But said Christ: "O Children of Israel! worship Allah, my Lord and your Lord." Whoever joins other gods with Allah,- Allah will forbid him the garden, and the Fire will be his abode. There will for the wrong-doers be no one to help.

003.085 If anyone desires a religion other than Islam (submission to God), never will it be accepted of him; and in the Hereafter He will be in the ranks of those who have lost (All spiritual good).

People also asked me what if truth didn't reach anyone for example for people in jungle or people who are retarded or mentally ill. Will this people go to hell as well?

The answer is on the Judgment Day.

There will be a neck coming out the hell and The Creator The Exalted will ask these people to jump into that neck with wide open mouth.

Those believe in One Creator will jump without questioning even though they know they are jumping into hell.

Those disobey The Creator will not jump and he shall end up in hell forever.

If you need more description of the paradise and hell just ask me :wave:

No proof? What do you mean by "proof"?

Peace.

A book, albeit the worlds best selling book... that alone is not proof.. Why does God not appear as absolute proof of his existence... He or she or it could end a lot of trouble around the world... Or does god get a kick out of watching people suffer because another war has started due to a disagreement over the existence of god, or which religion is the one true religion

I thought the story was that pilate gave the jews the choice between jesus and barrabas.
Did jesus really offer himself for sacrifice?

Sorry if I am off the mark.
You're WAAAAYYYYYYYYYY off the mark. Let me know if you made a decision on your own. You'll be the first man ever to accomplish that impossible feat.

  1. It is man who:
    1. - is deceitful and desperately sick (Jer. 17:9).
    2. - is full of evil (Mark 7:21-23).
    3. - loves darkness rather than light (John 3:19).
    4. - is unrighteous, does not understand, does not seek for God (Rom. 3:10-12).
    5. - is helpless and ungodly (Rom. 5:6).
    6. - is dead in his trespasses and sins (Eph. 2:1).
    7. - is by nature a child of wrath (Eph. 2:3).
    8. - cannot understand spiritual things (1 Cor. 2:14).
    9. - is a slave of sin (Rom. 6:16-20).

I do not believe in the christian ways, so again, I cannot go to Hell.
That's kind of like a child saying "because I think my parents are wrong, my hand won't be burned when I touch that hot stove." You are not the one who decides what is true and what is not, nor am I, nor is any other person. Truth is truth, whether or not it is in fashion to believe that.

What if I am not a bad person and have lived a good life, but refuse to accept the christan god, what then?
It is impossible to live a good life without God, since the definition of a good life is "a life that pleases God." God's way of thinking and deciding is completely different from ours. It's not about behavior - it's about relationship. Proxemity, if you will.

blessings in Jesus

Did Jesus really offer himself for sacrifice?

Christ knew of his situation from the beginning, and foretold of it during the last supper. If He didnot want to sacrifice Himself He would not have stayed to face those who wanted to see him dead.

A book, albeit the worlds best selling book... that alone is not proof..

Um, I didn't ask you what you thought wasn't proof...

Why does God not appear as absolute proof of his existence...

He has. And here you are 2000+ years after that appearance declaring that He didn't appear.

And anyway, how does God's appearance before mankind guarantee that everyone would happily follow Him? I mean, what would be the point of God appearing to convince everyone that He existed if not to obtain their allegiance? But what would guarantee everyone would actually want to follow God? What if people don't want to live the way a holy God requires? What if people are quite content to live without God's involvement in their lives?

Even if God hasn't appeared to each and every person there is still plenty of evidence for His existence all around us. Creation itself declares God's glory and presence. Our moral sense also strongly suggests a Moral Law Giver.

He or she or it could end a lot of trouble around the world...

I think He has done. But much of the trouble and pain in the world is the result of free will. If God simply undid all the consequences of each evil choice, He would essentially nullify a person's freedom to choose between right and wrong. Without that freedom, we would be nothing more than puppets. Also, if God simply removed the destructive consequences of sinful deeds, He would be enabling evil behaviour. A holy God cannot do such a thing.

Or does god get a kick out of watching people suffer because another war has started due to a disagreement over the existence of god, or which religion is the one true religion

Some day it will all come to an end. This day has not yet come, not because God gets a kick out of human suffering, but because God is merciful and seeks to give as much opportunity as possible to people to turn to Him. You see, when God finally wraps things up down here, He will do so with wrath and judgment upon all the human wickedness that has produced so much of the pain and suffering in our world. At the moment, though, God's wrath and judgment wait upon His love and mercy. I think that's a good thing.

Peace.

why such a dumb idea ??

it's not. It's just really selfish and an arbitrary thought process. I'd still like it if God came down and presented Himself to us all. It would make a lot more of our human population believe that He exists I must admit, and the same time it would mean that the second coming of Christ was actually happening and that means pretty terrible things to those that He did not convince.
