I play PC for FPS's, RTS's, and online multiplayer, but I like to play most other stuff on my consoles(The post-2000 consoles I have are PS2, Gamecube, and GBA).

I love laying in bed/lounging on the couch and gaming, so that's why I love consoles, but I also love online multiplayer and I don't have network adapters for my consoles so that's why I love my PC's as well.

If you spent a lil over a grand for a computer, say hello to thousands of games accessable only through PC, and if you wanna play a console game? Use an emulator! (Yes its legal if you buy the game from xbox, so just own the game for xbox but play it on the comp so you dont need to get an xbox). Computer definately has the most and probably best games out there.

I think its a metter of how much you wan't to spend when it comes to PC and CONSOLE. pc can cost a lot if you want good games, speed, etc, but if you have the money and you want to spend it then pc is the way to go. console on the other hand is good if you only want to spend 500 (give or take) and still get good games and stuff. where as PC you can easily spend thousands to get good game play. but you do get a lot more games with pc.

and personally i'm a BIG fan of X-BOX and helo rocks.

Motherboard/CPU = $60-80, Case/PW = $30, HDD = $50, DDR Mem = $80 (pc2100), CD Burner = $30, and Video Card = $80 (nvidia fx 5200 w/ 128 MB)

This adds up to $330...
It may not run DOOM3 perfectly, but it can run just about anything else...

I think platform and fighting games among others are great on consoles, but PC games allow you the freedom to customize, mod, and develop, etc. With consoles you're very limited in that respect, so I'm going with the PC.

I'd have to say console. No worry about lag or computer failure. Just pure gaming!
You'd be surprised. The original Playstation had quite a bit of lag. It would take up to 3 minutes for some games to load. As for computer failure, well the equivalent happens in consoles as well. It's just not quite as common. Of course, if more people knew how to properly take care of their computer and they knew not to try and use games that your system only meets the minimum requirements of, they wouldn't have that many problems. Honestly, I'm more for PC but it's a close tie with Console. I love my Super Nintendo. The newest console system I own though is a Nintendo 64 and the only time I've ever even played a newer console was at one of those displays in Walmart and I only played it for a few minutes. I'm not sure which console it was though.

I find it a little amusing to watch the console crowd say PCs cost more when they're posting this from a PC. LOL! You own one too. It is the difference in price that you need to look at. Monitors are usually a good $300 (or more of the cost), and case costs are the same, so you're looking at the difference in price between a low-end motherboard-chipset + video card, and a high end one. Unless you want absolute top-of-the-line the price difference is usually about $200-$400, the range of most consoles.

Actually I prefer xbox live over PC.
Everyone has headsets, everyone is on a level playing field, virtually no cheaters.
