CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I've got a hot date with the church baptistry. Since I'm the new caretaker of it, I have to clean it, babysit it for 2 hours while it's filling, and turn the heater on since it takes 2 days to heat it for water baptism service on Sunday.

I think most would advise you against giving or doing anything. It's tough to give someone a "hey, you're a great pal" card... buuut, I always do
. I like the idea of Valentines day being for everyone, and encompassing all types of love, not just romantic love.
This year I am going to send and give cards or little treats to lots of people!
I ordered a card online a few days ago and hope it gets here in time. I even love sending the "anti-valentines day" cards to those who seem to love tooting about their hatred for this love filled day. lol. I'm horrible, I know
