  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Well I saw most of the Canadian concert and highlights of the other countries.
The performances that I enjoyed the most where:
Pink Floyd (Duh)
The who (Loved seeing them play)
Of course U2 and Paul McCartney was AMAZING!! I nearly pooped my pants when they started!!
Then of course all the stuff Paul did alone, OH!! And Hey Jude at the end with everyone sent chills up my spine.
I thought Madonna did a WONDERFUL Job!! She picked GREAT songs too!!
I watched DMB on the live feed via the net
Green Day doing American Idiot was good.
Thought the Black Eyed Peas was pretty good

OOOOOH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Best part When Will Smith did the Fresh Prince of Bel Air theme song!!! Everyone at my house started singing along ^_^ (Even my mother!!!) It was hilarious!!

What else,
Oh I was quite dissapointed I missed Coldplay, BUT I did see Coldplay and The Verve do Bitter Sweet Symphony together which was brilliant!!

Umm who else.... man all together it was a GREAT line up of artists!
The Canadian concert was awesome. Made me SO PROUD to be a Canadian!! For me, the best Canadian acts were Barenaked Ladies (When they did if I had a Million Dollars, once again everyone in my house started to sing along)
Thought Blue Rodeo was awesome too.

Quite embarassed that they boo-ed Celine Dion, but whatever. Cmon Canada

The highlight was Neil Young at the end, Rockin in the Free World- 10 mins long, with EVERYONE joining him onstage. Then of course (leave it up to them) THe barenaked ladies started singing Oh Canada! I was so proud. We all stood up and sang along ^_^

I heard that they will be putting out DVD's from each country's concert.
I will certainly be buying London, Philly and Barrie :)

I went to the philly show and I have to say most of the acts sucked. It was very mixed with alot of Hip Hop. where does that leave Rock fans?
Im not saying hip hop is bad but Im just not a fan of that. there were 3 rock acts. and Stevie wonder which was The best!!!! I would have loved to go to the London show. With The Who and pink Floyd.
I know its also the cause but to me phillys show was a good time but the line up could have been better.

Money was awesome.

Floyd, U2 and Robbie Williams were the best performances from the London concert i thought.

The only performances i saw from Philly were the Black Eyed Peas and the Kaiser Cheifs, and i was surprised that i actually thought the Kaiser Cheifs were good!!

Saw one perfomance from Canada and a couple from Berlin.

Any idea on whether or not they're going to be selling DVD's of the performances? I missed the whole kit and kaboodle. :(

I would also like to know. I had to work and I missed most of it, sadly. :(
