Thanks New Creation! Nice to 'meet' you here. Yeah, I hear 'Shorty and Tom' talking about the consecutive sellouts at GM Place when I listen online on CKNW. As a side note, I think those two guys are crazy and awesome at the same time! I love how excited Tom gets when Todd, Trevor, or Markus, or anyone else for that matter does something really good! I have never been to a game in Vancouver but that would be my ultimate experience. I've seen the Canucks in Detroit, Chicago and Philadelphia. I am worried now though about Markus and that concussion given by the Evil Avalanche player Moore. I hope he is well in time to be at the Columbus game. Actually, I hope (and pray!) that he is feeling better VERY soon. The Canucks need some inspiration (and defense!) and Markus is one of my favourite players and a good Christian guy. Any word on Jovo's condition? I originally thought he'd be out 2-3 weeks with the shoulder injury but every place I've read online on injuries says 'out indefinitely.' Did I miss something?

Oh, that hurt last night. 6 - 2... ouch. Oh well, next game it will all turn around. GO CANUCKS GO... Oh yeah, and the way that Naslund dealt with the hit in the media... what a classy guy. Seriously, he deserves the Lady Bing... just for that.

Seriously man, that guy is insanely good. The hat trick nearly did me in. But THREE 2 goal deficit comebacks!!! WOW!!! That was a nail biter.

I had no idea that Markus is a Christian!! That is so awesome!!! NO WONDER he's so good!!! And he was AMAZING tonight.
The word on Jovo's condition is that he doesn't like to speculate on when he's coming back so as not to jinx himself. (poor Jovo is not a Christian me thinks- but he is from my hometown of windsor so I gotta love him!)

How 'bout those twins continuing to kick butt!! And Daniel's FOUR GOAL GAME!!! ARGGGHHH, I can't believe I missed that one....

anyone see the atrocity that was the Avs/ Canucks game last night? Bertuzzi with that sucker punch- how cheap can you get?

9 goals against. ay yi yi !! When we scored those 2 goals in the second period when it was still 5-2 and the crowd was getting back into it- they were playing with some fire again - I thought we actually had a good chane of tying- maybe even winning the game and then

stupid stupid penalties. NOT smart playing. that's when they lost the game. what a joke. that game disgusted me in so many ways.

Yeah, I have to say, I have no patience for that. I think that McSorely (sp doesn't look right) got off easy and I think that Bertuzzi should simply be kicked out of the league. I was listening to people on NW last night, and this morning on Jack (I don't listen to it... it's on in the gym)trying to justify the assault as though it is just a "part of the game". BS! is all that I have to say to that. Everyone says, "oh, you have to let them fight to cut down on the stick work". Well, I guarantee that if there was a 0 tolerance on fighting, that never would have happened. Totally inexcusable. I don't care how good he is, get rid of Bertuzzi. Trade him, give him away, whatever. I don't want for him to be on my team. As far as the rest of the game goes, it was a joke. The Canucks should be embarassed... and hockey should re-evaluate its rules.

Well...having come off going to my first Canucks game in 6 years (The 4-0 win over Columbus Saturday night!) I went from 'high' on the 'Nucks to plain disgusted with the whole sport!

First.....yes, the hit Todd did was wrong, he is a big guy who has to realize the impact of his size and power and control his temper. However, I don't think he meant to break Moore's vertebrae. I don't necessarily think he should be kicked out of the league or have the book thrown at him by law enforcement.

Second, I feel there is a double standard when it comes to a) the Avs and b) Bertuzzi. Watching a lot of games, I've seen a lot of things done by the Avs that never get called but other teams (not just the Canucks!) get penalized, etc.. It seems to me that Joe Sakic and the rest of the bunch can do no wrong in the eyes of the NHL. Before anyone freaks out...realize that I'm not saying Sakic is a dirty player and certainly not in the same category as Todd.

There has always been bad blood between SOMEBODY and the AVs..whether it's Vancouver or someone else.......remember Claude Lemieux (sp?) and his re-arranging Chris Draper's face from the Detroit Red Wings in '96 (I think it was '96)?!!

People keep comparing Bert/Moore's incident to the McSorely/Brashear deal but I feel that it is apples and oranges. From the beginning of the season on, the refs were calling everything on Bert and people could all but rip HIS head off and it was okay. I don't condone or agree with what happened last night but I see how it escalated into this. The league needs to be consistent and get their heads out of the sand and start being fair to EVERYONE.

Todd and the Canucks embarrassed themselves last night. They didn't go into the game with the right attitude to begin with and the Avs simply let Calgary rout them the night before to save their energy for the Canucks. I'm over 2000 miles away and I can figure this out! lol!!

....and on a happy note....Congratulations to Trevor Linden on his record for points as a Canuck...it's a shame that a cool thing like that has been overshadowed by such ****! Trevor is a classy guy and I wish he could have done it under better circumstances (Saturday night would have been good! lol!!)
