Sir do you see what he is saying in chapter 9, that the animal blood just was weak, and it just sanctified the body, nut look what he says about the inner man, what do you see in this comparison?

Hebrews9:13 For if the blood of goats and bulls, and the sprinkling of defiled persons with the ashes of a heifer, sanctify for the purification of the flesh, 14 how much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without blemish to God, purify our conscience from dead works to serve the living God.

Gideon. Was the temple always about the ongoing sins? yes.

Then do you see that the blood of Christ is about eternal forgiveness?

Why no more sacrifices?

10:18 Where there is forgiveness of these, there is no longer any offering for sin.

saying we dont have to repent is off though. It is:

And Peter said to them, “Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. (Acts 2:38 ESV)

The times of ignorance God overlooked, but now he commands all people everywhere to repent, because he has fixed a day on which he will judge the world in righteousness by a man whom he has appointed; and of this he has given assurance to all by raising him from the dead.” (Acts 17:30, 31 ESV)

Repentance was a part of the Apostles message. Peter in Acts 2 to Jews and Paul in Acts 17 to Gentiles. Once you repent and believe you are saved. Without repentance you merely add Jesus to the list of things you already have going in your life.

Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. (1 John 2:15 ESV)

Gid, do you see what he is saying here?

Single sacrifice, we are perfected for all time. Just read these verses against the backdrop of temple life, and you will see what the writer is conveying.

Heb 10:12 but He, having offered one sacrifice for sins for all time, sat down at the right hand of God, 13 waiting from that time onward until His enemies be made a footstool for His feet. 14 For by one offering He has perfected for all time those who are [g]sanctified.

One sacrifice, for all time.

One offering perfected us for all time.

Why is he sitting down?

Because it is done.

Why did they stand daily in 10:11, not done, no sin remission.

10:11 Every priest stands daily ministering and offering time after time the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins;

Yes, amen we repent when we get saved, but then we are eternally forgiven, i am not saying people don't get into the flesh, but the future sins are forgiven. They have to be, so long as the person is a Christian, we are always saved, cleansed to the uttermost, 7:25.

The blood purged out the sin, if we do not acknowledge the one time purging, then Christ would have to suffer again.

Shouldn't one repent first in order to be forgiven?

Matthew 12:31
Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men.

Acts 26:18
To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.

What does eternal cleansing mean, just for now and then, depending on my sin level, or was it eternal, even unto heaven?

Hebrews 9:23 Therefore it was necessary for the copies of the things in the heavens to be cleansed with these, but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these.

Bro, if you do not see the juxtaposition of the earthly system of the temple, compared to the eternal heavenly eternal priesthood, bro, luv ya, with all due respect, you will never understand what the writer is saying about the eternal, that which he compared to the repetitive incomplete inferior temporal, that just reminded of sin, the old system, but brought no remission, forever.

Why is he sitting down?

He was standing when Stephen was stoned:

56 “Look,” he said, “I see heaven open and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God.”

Hi,
Paul walks us through salvation in Romans 1-8. Where did he mention repentance?

Grace to you.

Acts 2:38; 5:32; 8:22; Romans 4:7; James 5:15; 1 john 2:12

Those condemned to hell, are they forgiven?

2 Chronicles 7:14
If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

Hi,
Paul mentions repentance in Romans 2:4, in relation to God's goodness , leading to repentance (3340, strings, to think differently).

Grace to you.

Yes, and that was written to unsaved, and sure, there are corrections sometimes, to get back on track. But you will notice that my detractors, I don't mean you, will probably focus on the ongoing repentance theme, to avoid the facts, that we are still eternally forgiven, eternally washed, or the priesthood of Christ failed.

With the sin issue, the sitting down needs no explanation

Heb 1:3 And He is the radiance of His glory and the exact representation of His nature, and upholds all things by the word of His power. When He had made purification of sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high,

Again, sorry, with respect, but if people are going to come around, with the same ole thing, that sin promotion is the issue, it misses the point.

You're not really covering my point, no one is saying to be in the flesh, i agree with Romans.

But, did he not obtain eternal redemption for us?

Does it say temporal redemption, based on my repentance tally sheet every day, or eternal?

9:15 For this reason He is the mediator of a new covenant, so that, since a death has taken place for the redemption of the transgressions that were committed under the first covenant, those who have been called may receive the promise of the eternal inheritance.

Seems like my bro is missing the point here. Did he have to offer often, for the ongoing future sins that kept coming like the temporal priests did?

9:25 nor was it that He would offer Himself often, as the high priest enters the holy place year by year with blood that is not his own.

Why not?

Noooo sweat bro..I understand, and that is what i was saying on the other thread, when a bro made like the Jewish people did not have to repent, contradicting Peter.
