I get obsessed about things like the end of the world
I worry about other people also i worry about myself
its going over my mind over and over and what triggered this this time
A post on here on the uk forum about the next pope being the last pope i didn't even go into it and now i think about things happening that could kill us all
Am scared and i am finding the more am scared the more i obsess about it
To the point i cant sleep and i feel like i need to self injure
My husband keep reassuring me that everything will be ok and that there is nothing to be scared of
But am still scared

I can definitely relate to your anxieties about the end of the world and events that could kill us. I've always been quite scared whenever something 'odd' happens or when something could happen, like when I was in high school ashes suddenly fell from the sky and I thought something bad had happened, that was not the case; these thoughts have happened on many other instances.

I also felt un-easy about the end times, about the antichrist and other judgments that are to unfold in due time, they usually made my heart race.

The answer? Jesus. Over the last few months these fears of mine have been gradually lessening because of God's amazing love and grace. Whenever a situation would come when I would feel anxious about death, I would always remember God and His word because He conquered death. I think to myself '"I don't have to be afraid anymore, God is my shield, my refuge in times of distress". This is all because of what Jesus had done.

I hope that you will continue to pursue Christianity and anchor your faith in Jesus, He is definitely the answer.

God loves you so much. He understands how you feel. I am praying for you. Is there something you enjoy doing or helps you to relax when thoughts come? I am trying to do breathing and muscle relaxation when I have terrible thoughts. I am finding speaking in tongues and singing worship music helps too. God loves you.

Yes i find praying helpful but it can be obsessive some times
Am listening to christian rock at the moment and that is helping as well

Heavenly Father I pray for your daughter please give her your peace. Calm her heart and mind and grant her wisdom what to do when she feels afraid. Help her to know that you are very close to her in her pain and time of need and you will never leave her or forsake her in Jesus name Amen.
