The only reason I personally would guess that is because of older occupants. If not that then there is something severely demonic going on with the OP, a spirit moved in, or God is trying to say something other than that no idkWas it ever said in here if the OP’s STORY had a link to any occult practices?
Not neccessarily. They would like to be. But more than anything possess a human. Are they all territorial?
Ask them politely to stop because it's scaring you and making you feel uncomfortable. For whatever the reason you are hanging out with a group of new friends...little did you know they turn out to be deeply involved in the occult, they proceed to take out a Ouija board, light candles, summon spirit, etc.
Proceed to destroy it.You obviously refuse to join in, but in this hypothetical situation you are in a remote Canadian cabin and there is 2 feet of snow outside, it’s -5 degrees out, with a brutal wind chill factor of -20. There’s no other shelter for many miles. And you did not drive, you are at the mercy of waiting for the end of the night to get a ride home from one of the guys playing on the Ouija board. So although you’re not participating, you are in close proximity (small cabin).
To an extent.Let’s also suppose that the summoning of a spirit was a success.
Let’s even expand the hypothetical, a 2nd person also wants no parts of it yet they too are at their mercy for a ride home. You are a Christian, the 2nd person who wants no parts of it is not. Are you in danger of this spirit?
Probably. Is the non-Christian in more danger of it than you?
Depends on the spirit.Or are neither of you in danger because you refuse to participate?
Either or neither or both. And if it is true that either of you could be in danger of it, would it only be until you got out of there, or might it follow you home?
Probably. And again, would the non-participating non-Christian be more at risk for it to follow him home than the non-participating Christian?
WrongI’ve heard that you have to dabble in the occult to even be vulnerable towards any type of spiritual torment
I've been in that situation. Pm me if you like.but it would be an interesting monkey wrench if you were in the same large room as the activity.
For one, this kind of phenomenon would follow the person (that He was trying to correct), not just be confined to a particular building.I am curious, how do you know that "God would not do it"?
Wrong
There are too many possibilities to diagnose from our armchairs. That is why I recommended that he contact local deliverance ministers. (Contrary to previous aspersions, it isn't necessary for one to join such a church in order to receive help. There are no strings attached.*)If we rule out occult involvement, would the top reason be ignorant exposure to demonic idols? For instance idols laying around the house maybe just considered to be family ‘Travel Souvenirs’ for example?
The right attitude to bring into such a situation is that something psychological and/or otherwise natural is going on. Since it is reasonably light objects that are allegedly being tossed about, perhaps the true culprit is neither God nor Satan but wind. They have a long history of ruling out false claims or mental illness, and authenticating whether the cause of the disturbance is actually demonic. They do accept that demonic explanations are possible, unlike secular scientists whose world view precludes such phenomena, but even as they are open to the possibility of supernatural cause, they are skeptical of accepting that the causes are anything other than ordinary.
I personally don't even know if they are all that open to taking calls about such things, but as far as investigation goes, they bring a good attitude toward such phenomena.
You’re entitled to your opinion.God can work through anyone he so chooses - be they Catholic or not. God is omnipotent.
So... You don't believe God is all powerful? What limits his power iyho? You’re entitled to your opinion.
My recommendation of consulting with the Catholic Church stands, however.
