I think the only time you can have duel citizenship is if you were born outside the U.S. to parents who are U.S. citizens. Then whe you become of age, you have to choose which country you wish to belong to.My Dad might be able to get dual citizenship with Italy, his mother came from Italy and both of his grandparents on his dads side were from there too
In what sense of the word? A Christian, a follower of Christ, would never support efforts to murder the most innocent of human beings. A follower of Christ would never refer to babies as punishment as Obama did! He is not following the Christ I know! That is no joke. He is a Christian.

Okay, I just thought of something: There was a question at the beginning of Sen. McCain's presidential run whether he was a citizen of the U.S. or not since he was born in Panama while his father was stationed there. According to some strange rule, since Sen. McCain was born on a U.S. military installation, he is a U.S. citizen.
I understand that Franken is screaming for a recount, yet he is running behind by a good bit. I think he ran as a joke, and yes I do understand he is not fond of Catholics. Makes one feel sorry for him.
Recount is required by statute because the margin of victory is less than .5%.
Thanks for playing.
Who said women get abortions to spite others?
Such vulgar language, and thats what it is, makes the pro-life movement appear radical and on the lunatic fringe. People won't listening to people who use such language.
My post had to do with educating people, politicians, voters, and mothers, to what abortion actually is.
You just voted for FOCA, Jim. That will do a lot of good, right?Starting the conversation by calling them names, which seems pretty common in this forum, doesn't get anywhere and probably causes more harm than good.

Its this very type of language, i.e. pro-death, baby killers, murderers etc, has probably caused more unborn babies to die than anything else. Such language does more harm to the pro-life movement than good, because it shuts down any hope of intellectual understanding by building mental barriers that only cause people to dig their heels in.

Its time to stop and understand, that those who support abortion, are not hearing the message and as a result, society has become apathetic to the issue of abortion.
The focus now should be education. We need to educate women on what it means to have an abortion, and what exactly is going on, with the life inside of her. But we need to medically correct on what we're talking about, and just using the term abortion, narrowly.
Most of all, its time to start showing compassion and respect for our brothers and sisters, who for whatever reason, fail to understand that life begins at conception and is sacred. This is the only true Christian response that will have any effect.

Remember peeps - when they persecute you and want to kill you. Do not resist.
If they hate Christians - let them martyr you.
O anyway - yea he won.
Jeff - ya want to move to another country with me - or maybe the moon. I hear the air is slightly thin.
But it has potential.
I have and why i didn't vote for him.. and now Jim says it's not pro death, it's not murder and they aren't murderers... oh where we are headed... Lord help us.too true.
I wonder if there would be more chastisements on the world from the increase of abortions that might happen..and just from the increased 'tolerance' for sin, people buying into the enemy's lies about so called "rights", etc... the enemy likes to use rhetoric for sure!
well pretty much everyone here at my university are celebrating that Obama got elected... even my professor mentioned that she's very happy about this, and almost the whole class agreed.
However, I've thought about it... what if freedom of choice act gets passed... what then..and Obama wants to sign it!
when I thought about that I saw beyond the externals. Sure he is popular, charismatic, has all these good ideas about social and economic reform...yet... check out the freedom of choice act and what it includes:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Freedom_of_Choice_Act
this isn't some sort of propaganda, it's from a pro choice website:
http://www.prochoiceamerica.org/assets/files/Abortion-Access-to-Abortion-FOCA.pdf
if this happens, there would be NO restrictions on abortions! think about that...
Bafriend, for the comfort of your heart and the strength of your convictions I give you the guidance of former PA gov Bob Casey Sr from the 90's. I believe it is the heartbeat of the pro-life Democrats. I feel it mirrors your own sadness, but reflects a strength:
We must ask ourselves, "Where today does conscience call us?" What is the deepest source of the unease that's documented in survey after survey across this country. It is deep, and it's basic, and it's powerful. I believe that a great majority of people in America know the answer to that question. The silent figure at the center of our great cultural debate is the unborn child. For a generation now - over twenty years - we've lived with abortion on demand. It was sold to America, this idea, as a kind of a social cure, a resolution. Instead, it has left us wounded and divided. We were promised it would broaden the circle of freedom. Instead, it has narrowed the circle of humanity. We were told the whole matter was settled and would soon pass from our minds. Twenty years later, it tears at our souls. And so, it is for me the bitterest of ironies that abortion on demand found refuge .. found a home - and it pains me to say this - found a home in the National Democratic Party. My party, the party of the weak, the party of the powerless.
You see, to me, protecting the unborn child follows naturally from everything I know about my party and about my country. Nothing could be more foreign to the American experience than legalized abortion. It is inconsistent with our national character, with our national purpose, with all that we've done, and with everything we hope to be.
Bob Casey Sr. managed to support his Catholic ideals that were in the Democratic party while strongly opposing abortion even when the leaders of the party were and are...so aggressive promoting it.
It is that spirit that will be needed in the pro-life democrats to forge an alliance with others and oppose the FOCA. For everyone here today who is torn between the good of their parties and the bad...Bob Casey Sr. is a model of a politician and a Catholic who would not compromise on his values but fought to make a difference.
He stayed a Democrat and supported the Catholic social values in their platform but tirelessly opposed abortion until his dying day.
For any party.
Any view.
I find him an example to never give in on what we believe as Catholics, no matter what the structures of our political affiliation do.
I hope that, as a Democrat yourself (and one of the strongest pro-life supporters here), his example gives you hope.

Look: Don't make legal arguments to me and expect me to not answer them.
Technically - it is true.Technically, this is not true at all. This denies what is written and i guarantee you Jesus would not approve. What did David kill with a stone and sling? a fetus? It's dangerous to change what is written, but then again, the sign of the times is clear.
Want some bright side:
Alabama-05
Alabama-02
Ohio-01
PA-03
All new seats in the house for Pro-life dems. And pro-life dems (I think) lost no seats. And all seats that were contested between a pro-life Democrat and a Republican went to a pro-life candidate.
Those seats means arguably 31 pro-life dems in the house. That means that 218 needed for a majority but there are 222 non-prolife votes. But...in that there are about 10 that can go either way even before some of the backroom dealing starts. That means 212 left. That is below the 218 needed to pass pro-choice legislation strongly. And above the 218 needed in coalition to pass the Pregnant Women Support Act that can potentially draw even more than that because it has support from across the aisle.
Now with some undecided races those numbers might change 1-3 but they are still solid...if we write our reps and fight.

I will be happy.Prop 8 passed in California (ie: no gay marriage)
hmmm when Obama is done destorying the USA the EU might be a nice place to go to, I am sure it will be filled with illegal immagrents from america looking for jobs, so that dual citizenship thing might be a good idea

People wouldn't watch if they were moral geniuses.
