General Appearance: Nyu is a small woman, her size belying the strength that she possesses. Her frame is small and lithe, and her feminine curves slight, her limbs are nevertheless long and shapely, being attributed to the advanced genetic engineering of her race. Upon her left hand is large patch of white, the silvery skin a reminder of the day that her people were freed. Her hair is light red in its color and gives off a burnt-orange glow when the light reflects from it. It is cut boyishly short, with long hair being a bother to her. Her eyes are an icy blue, framed by thin eyebrows and situated on a heart shaped face. Her nose is narrow and pointed, and her lips are thin, and a natural shade of red. Her skin is far from being fair, with the skin having been burnt to a light brown color from over exposure to the sun. She is barefoot at all times, and her wardrobe consists mostly of over-sized cargo pants, the excess material bunching up around her waist where it is held up by a belt. She wears a dark blue tank top, the material cut two inches below the bust, revealing the midriff. She is also a fan of Human trinkets, a wide assortment of children’s toys stuffed into the side pockets of her cargo pants.
Bio: Nyu’s memory of her life started when she was first taken from the Ai’s world on the Human scout ship. When she had been discovered by Edward Nile and his security crew, she had immediately taken a liking to Humanity, although she could feel the men’s tense attitude towards her. Being taken by a female researcher quickly when she found out about Nyu’s presence, she quickly took Nyu to be clothed. Clothing her quickly in what Nyu had found to be an excess of fabric, Nyu could often be found roaming the ship wearing nothing more than a pair of men’s boxer briefs that the researcher had found and a sport’s bra. This provided no end of amusement to the men of the crew and caused a great amount of angst for the kindly researcher, who would then try to chase the girl down to clothe her properly.
After she had been among the Human crew for a while, Nyu found herself becoming infatuated with the crew’s “captain”, as they would sometimes call him, although they usually called him Edward or “Dart”. As such, she often stayed around where he was at, often being the ship’s flight control. But, no amount of her cooing seemed to alert the man to her interest in him, so it soon waned. It was testing and studies that would catch her interest instead as they were run on her.
However, the studies run on her brought up more questions than answers after a genetic test showed her DNA to be anything but Human. So Nyu was brought back with the Humans to the Ai’s world, where they questioned the queen. And the rest, is history (go here to look at it).
Special Skills: Nam is empathic and able to communicate her own thoughts and feelings with others by touch.
* The Ni are an offshoot of Humanity, resulting from adapted Human DNA. They are stronger and faster than Humans and are also capable of feats beyond Human capacity, but are also incapable of speech. The Ni are driven almost completely by their emotions and the normal ideas of Human thought do not apply.
** The Ni do not age. However, the Ni (or Nameless) are incapable of breeding. Their exact numbers are unknown and so are their origins.
-Side note: The Ni only first came to consciousness 50 years before, and Nyu only a year prior.
