What do you think of nurseries? Obviously, since I am a SAHM the only nursery my daughter is left in is the church's nursery. For over two months I was nervous about leaving her there. No one has ever watched her...not even our parents. We have been using her immunizations as a excuse not to leave her in there with the other kids..plus of pediatrition really said it was not such a good idea if we could help it...but, she recently got her shots...so no more excuse there. So last wednesday night the pastor's wife(who is very sweet and has four children of her own) asked if she could keep her in the nursery...I was kind of hesitant..but, knew she was in excellent hands and said yes after talking with hubby about it(plus I already have spent twice back there rocking her myself when she was fussy..just to get the feel of it). I was a nervous wreck..Nearly in tears...I have no finger nails left from biting them. By the hand shaking number I rushed back to the nursery to make sure she was alright...of course she was..just laughing and cooing at everyone. So today I left her again in the nursery...of course I have a list to tell them.."if she has a poopie diaper or t.t. diaper and you don't want to change..please come and get me or she cries or she...."...my friend looks at me..mother of two and says "I have changed dirty diapers before...she will be fine"...and guess what on hand shaking I forgot to go check on her..I was that comfortable. It was easier this go around. I know she is in very good hands with our church family. I am very surprised at myself for letting her stay in the nursery. What was your first time like leaving your baby with someone else?
Yes that is much worse!! Poor you!
