  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Awww...both nurseries are awesome..I can't wait to put ours together...when my husband and I first started trying we did the nursery at our old house in like a bears theme...then his brother bought our house...and we moved here to our townhouse. Wanting to start over I gave all my bear stuff to my cousin who just had a baby girl...so I started collecting precious momments stuff....now I have everything I need for the nursery, including border..just need the nursery..Praise the Lord we should be signing our closing papers on our new house not this friday but the next...so I can not wait to put everything together!!!...both nurseries are precious...I love the cribs in both!

Our nursery is still half storage room until the construction is complete on our new storage building/office. We have the crib set up and the double bed that is staying in there. In another week or so we should be able to get everything moved out and everything in it's place. (If the weather would just cooperate!)

I am so jealous of all of the mommie-to-be who get to decorate the rooms right now! My husband and I are moving 4 months after our daughter is born, so we will have to wait until then. I do have a really cute crib set and some ideas that I want to use. The crib we bought it white, and I am going to buy a white dresser, a white toy chest, and some white shelves. The best thing is that Target has this really adorable white dollhouse bookshelf thing. I don't think I'll use it totally for books. I would like her to be able to play with it for her dolls, too.

When we move I have decided to paint the walls and peachy-pink orange color. Her crib set is pink and yellow with orange flowers, so it would all match. I don't know about curtains yet because I don't know what the windows will be like...

I'm not expecting, but I personally never used my changing table...or at least very very little. I would change them on the bed or the floor with a towel underneath them. But, it's all personal preference and what you can afford. They do look nice with the rest of the coordinating furniture, though. :)

Are all of you using changing tables? I wasn't planning to get one...but there is still time...

I didn't use one very much either, for the first couple of months they are handy (particularly if you have back problems) but after that, they do roll a bit and I found the bed or the floor safer, also I was lazy and just had a change bag in the loungeroom that I used for most changes. Particularly once Daniel was moving around a lot more.

Anyway, it's up to you, a lot of people I have known have used them until their child was out of nappies and swore by it, others like me who found them a waste of space and money.

For this baby I have a chest of drawers that's the right height and a mat that can sit on the top, I'll work out a way to kind of stick the mat on to the table, maybe velcro straps, but first I have to convince Daniel that his clothes don't really go in there anymore (he's had it for 3 years) and I don't see him giving it up soon. We'll work it out, we have until July after all.

My mom bought me a changing table for only like 2.00 at the thrift store...all it needed was the screws...its in excellent shape with mat...so I am going to put it together when we move...but, I got a feeling we will be using the bed for most of the changings. My brother managed to put it together without the screws...of course it wasnt steady..but it was quite cute..its white and my crib stuff is a dark cherry...but I think it will still look cute..if I dont change on it..it still has lots of shelves for storage.
