  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Let me further clarify. I wouldnt feel comfortable with showing my body for display for everyone such as in art. Doctors seen me naked when I was a baby. I go to a woman gyno by the way.
thanks for clarifying, also not all art is on (or ever will be) public show for everyone to see.

I'm just wondering if anyone can tell me is it right to pose for health mags/books?

For me I say it still wrong. I do mean they have an alternative by drawing. But since the drawing will still be nudity I will still say its wrong. Describing it in words doesn't have the same effectiveness as illustrations. Somehow the message must get through. Any comments?

(Just some thoughts)
I not too sure.. I mean images can say a thousand words and many words can draw an image. Maybe it boilds down to our imaginations, and what we do with images or words etc in our minds.

I guess if you view nudism as a sin, then the act of posing nude you might consider a sin or something... Although if you refer back to Adam and Eve, I doubt nudity itself is a sin.

There is a difference between art and porn. If you can't see the line then avoid art museums. Although I would argue that some "art" in museums is porn.

 I agree!

Nude photos are more or less always porn, as I look upon it...

But, as I wrote earlier, I do not define Zorns drawings to be porn...
His naken women have more my figure ( at least my husband says they are alike, and he should know:blush: ...) and has no sexual focus...
