• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Now wait just a minute! This changes everything.

You gotta understand the problem. When (not if) the Dreamers get their amnesty the floodgates will be opened. Mexicans will launch their babies into this country with catapults if necessary.
I think that this alone would be worth it.

I hope the wall will have webcams.

You should remember that as a Christian you should always do unto others as you would have them do to you.

This young woman is for all intents and purposes a 100% American who did NOTHING ILLEGAL herself and she is facing being kicked out of her home for NO REASON.

If you say "amen" for that then surely you hope that will happen to you one day!

Is she a legal citizen of the United States?

Is she a legal citizen of the United States?

Did she cross the border of her own will?

Like I said, if you think it is good that someone who did not, herself, commit any crime to get her gets booted out of the country then let us pray that one day you, too, will be punished for a crime in which you did nothing wrong yourself.

It is what Jesus commands you do!

Deport every non Indian ?

YES! A thousand times yes!

Native Americans need to deport every single one of us. We stole their land. Even though we (today) didn't do it, but we are just as illegitimate.

Did she cross the border of her own will?

It would be interesting to know when each of these dreamers was made aware that they are illegally in the U.S. At that point they are responsible for their illegal status.

It would be like being made aware that something given to you was actually stolen property. Keeping it, while knowing who it belongs to, makes you a thief.

Again, is she a legal citizen of the United States?

I almost fell off my chair yesterday when a Latina "dreamer" being interviewed said that while she considered the U.S. her country and wanted to remain here that she would emigrate if forced to do so.

What she said next stunned me. She was a graduate medical student and revealed quite confidently that many other countries would be happy to have her, among those mentioned was Canada (which is known for liberal immigration policies).

I have been led to believe by the media and "dreamer" advocates that she and others would be sent to the third world country of their parents origin to live in hopeless squalor for the rest of their lives.

Who knew that other developed countries would welcome them with open arms, giving them nearly the same opportunities that they have enjoyed in the U.S.

I think Trump should reveal this fact. Perhaps it would change the tenor of the whole debate.
Can you explain to me why we would want these highly trained people to leave; it's not as if we don't need more medical doctors especially? They have gotten their education here, sometimes taking that opening from a US citizen, and getting loans from US banks to fund their education.

But then you have those who are still in junior high and high school and those who have only a high school education. Where do you think they will end up? Some of them only speak English. All of them have lived here since they were young children, how do you think they will fare in third world cultures?

No, the Dreamer Act does not include newer arrivals and you know this.

Why deport her?

Why?

Are our own ancestors who immigrated here more....? What? More deserving?

Do you believe Jesus was a real person?

Nice dodge.

Again.

Start a thread on that off-topic question you stuck in there, and i'll respond.

In the meantime, respond to the question i asked at least twice that you have repeatedly avoided.

Thank you kindly.

Why turn people, who have no tickets, away from a theatre if there are empty seats.

Now that's logic.

I actually changed it slightly.

Why turn people, who have no tickets, away from a theatre if there are empty seats.

Well in accord with the whole thing I think the Trump wolf gets too much feeding.
