  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I put away 10% of what I make and donate it to charities and other good causes (since I don't attend church).

why don't you attend church?:) Don't worry :p i'm not picking on you :p I'd be pretty two-faced if I did because I don't really attend either :p I go from time to time or when I feel like it. Anyways.... I'm just wondering thats all :)

I don't really have a place to go. I was raised Lutheran, but I really consider myself non denominational because I like to read the Bible for myself and live by my interpretation of it. Most of the churches around here are Baptist and I'm not sure how they'd react to someone that was baptized at birth and doesn't believe in "once saved, always saved". I really don't have a good excuse though. I just wish I had someone I could go with so I wouldn't feel like a complete stranger.

I was invited to attend an assembly of God church by a parent of a girl I know at school during project graduation. I was reading my Bible, so I figured that was why I got the invite. Wednesday's were okay because I knew some of the kids in the youth group, but I couldn't deal with the sunday service. It was different from what I'm used to and I could pick up on the pentacostal vibes in the sermon. It was uncomfortable for me coming from a more traditional background. Perhaps I should start my own non denominational church.

◘ What is your favorite flower? Do you have any planted?
○ Have you seen the movie We Are Marshall? If so, what did you think about it?
◘ Have you heard about the new Disney movie titled Ten Comandments? How do you feel about Disney not allowing "God" to be said in the commercials on Disney Radio promoting the movie?
○ How do you feel about the possibility of Turkey invading Northern Iraq?
◘ Do people who whine about everything annoy you? How do you deal with these people?

yeah... I can understand that. i was spiritailly brought up pentecostal... but recently I've been quistioning alot of their stanses on stuff and because of that I find it incredably unconfortable now. Now I find the church unneccesarly upbeat. It just feels like their trying to hard... I can't feel relaxed at all. If I do start attending church again it will probably be something much more traditional

Anyways :) this thread is about you :) not me :) so...

when did you become a Christain?

Blue bonnets. They grow wild in the spring all over Texas along side highways and in open fields.
Nope.
Nope. Political correctness has gone way too far in this country. God forbid we offend someone by something we say.
I hope it speeds up the return of Christ.
For the most part yes, unless I share their sentiments. People that complain about the smallest things really annoy me. I tend to just ignore people like that.

I was raised in a christian household. To ask me when I became a christian is kinda like asking me why the sky is blue.

How are you doing today?

I can't complain.

Are Mormons a form of Christian?

What are your thoughts on Mitt Romney?

Not sure. FLDS members seem pretty cult like to me. I'm sure I'll see some mormons in heaven. Heck, I'm sure I'll see people from all kinds of religous backgrounds in heaven.

I don't really care for him for some reason. I can't quite put my finger on why though. He seems to put off bad vibes. John Kerry or Bill Clinton like vibes. He doesn't seem genuine.

How well do you think the fires in California have been handled by the state? By the Bush administration?
Arnold has done a great job. He took charge and didn't wait for the federal government to come in for aid. Local, State, and Federal officials are coordinating properly and are putting the best interests of the people in front of stupid bureaucratic nonsense. Bush has handled it well too. Arnold did such a great job, there wasn't much for Bush to do other than visit California and provide some federal funding for disaster relief.

Do you like to cook?

yup.

No. Ghosts and Aliens are products of an over imaginative mind.

God works is strange ways if that counts for anything.

Hmm. Last year on a wet road I ended breakin the rear tires loose in my mom's durango at 60 mph. I tried to correct the slide but I ended up over correcting it. It sent me spinning counter clockwise at least three times before I ended up off the road. I wasn't scared of getting hurt as much as I was of getting in trouble if I messed up my mom's car. Luckily all I got out of it was a good scare. No harm done.

I've never seen a movie that scared me. Sure I'll get startled when something freaky jumps out of nowhere, but I've never had trouble going to sleep after seeing a movie. Psalms 23:4 is all I need to face my fears.

Are you looking forward to the holiday season?
Yea. It's a great time of year. The weather cools off, deer season comes around, football is on every weekend, I eat more, and I get to celebrate joyous occasions with the my family and friends.
