Not Getting What I Need

[Second Coming]

The Lord hasn’t provided for my needs. In the Lutheran Catechism it states that the saying “Give us this day our daily bread” means also things such as spouse and house. Basically that the Lord will supply all their needs. Well the Lord hasn’t provided for my needs. Please pray that he will provide for me things like spouse, job, and house. Thank you.

It’s been 12 years since I’ve been single so that’s a long time to wait.

I’ve been out of work for months.

I haven’t owned a home for 12 years either.

How long do you think God expects me to wait?

No. The church I attend is small and has an elderly population there are few young singles.

You might check around your area, There are many churches who have weekend singles groups and this might just be the ticket :]

Keep in mind too that not everyone gets married. Also you cannot be happy with a partner until you are happy being alone. Lastly, my Aunt G for example was in her early 40s before getting married, so getting married older is not always a bad thing.

As for a job, sometimes God does not provide us with a job directly, but does provide us with food and other needs or the resources with which to get them. These could be things like soup kitchens, SNAP, odd jobs ECT As long as you are trying there is nothing wrong with being able to work and not working, however God DOES expect us to do our part ( I am NOT saying that you are not trying, but nine times out of ten things just do not fall into your lap. You have to do your part to get certain blessings.

Same with a house, it may not be the home you want, but God does provide a woof over your head or the resources to find one. Such as organizations that will help you look, section 8 ( If you live in the states) friends and family to move in with for a short while or a home to rent.

All of this to say not only is God's timing not ours, but also God's provisions do not look the way we want or the way we expect.

Your are taking an "attitdue" with the Almighty with comments like "How long does He expect me to wait?" Grumbling against the Lord caused the Israelites to die in the desert (except for 2 men). Don't miss your promised land.

I pray you will humble yourself before Him and get guidance and wisdom and holy angel help.
