Argh, one struggle I am having is posting in the GA section. I wanted to post this:

As I found it very interesting and thought it could bring mature debate amongst some christians and non-christians.

Also, funny story... This website was blocked by my university... a baptist university.... I find it slightly ironic. I sent an appeal and got it fixed, yippee.

What is the minimum post limit there for links?

Interesting that a university would ban this site. They were probably worried about the negative effects that various viewpoints can have on some people.

Minimum post limit for discussion and debate area is 100.

Yea, I just found it ironic, I don't think they did it intentionally.

Lol, all sorts of thoughts run through my head. I'm sure it is just due to a subscribed blocker for the school's server, not their theological stance.

What was interesting was that my mom's post regarding her near-death experience was erased by the mods, because they think that she mentioned something about a 'choking game'. But nowhere in any of the posts is there any reference to a 'choking game' of some sort. THe thing is that neither me or my mom mentioned anything about choking anyone or anything. But the mods think we did and deleted the thread because they said it was or would be gross or offensive to ppl.

Yet if I were to post something about Jesus being stripped naked and beaten and flogged and whipped and having his skin retorn open once Herod's robe was ripped off of him....... well that wouldn't get banned would it? It's only 8 times as disgusting as posting something about being choked.

Again, neither of us mentioned choking or being choked. I can't figure out where the mods got the idea from cause the thread was deleted apparently so I can't tell where they got the idea of choking from.

Actually, Nimbo, I remember reading that -- it was a side reference, just a comparison to out of body experiences... I'm not sure why it would be cause for a whole post to be removed. I've never seen a whole thread removed; usually they lock it. Do you think it might have just been relocated to a more fitting topic?

Why is it a "struggle" to post in the GA forum?

PS:I have heard that kids are dying from trying that choking thing. Maybe that's why it got removed.

just curious though ... did someone in CF do some empirical research to come up with a rationale for a 100 post requirement in the "minors"?

The problem was that newbies would come in and deluge GT and GA with OP's and posts. No one "Knew" them in the sense of knowing where they were coming from. Same for links and photos. Some trolls would sign up and post obscene (and I don't just mean dirty) pix. Hence the limit. Trolls don't like to stick around and pretend to be somebody!

Just saw that you're new. Go to some of the friendship areas and you'll have 100 posts in no time!
