Question..

If Jesus not only forgave your sin, but bore it and became your sin, so that your sin died with Jesus, so that God put you "In Christ", by giving you the "gift of righteousness"......then...... where are you sins now found?

If YOU have them, then, you are a sinner. If you dont have them, then the Blood of Jesus that redeemed you has given you a new Heavenly ID, having replaced the Law's title that you previously were...

The NT says that you are a now TITLE :

New Creation

Son of God

Brethren

Child of the Light

Born Again

Saint

Lively Stone

Temple of the Holy Spirit

So...You were a sinner, but now you are something Eternally different...you are...."As Christ IS....so are WE the born again IN THIS WORLD".

And that is not a "sinner".... As to BE a sinner, you have to be "under the law"... And you are "not under the law, you are under GRACE"...if you are born again.

Our past, present and future sins are forgiven and fully paid for as soon as we are regenerated at our conversion.
Before our conversion, we sinned because we were true to our inherited sin nature. After our conversion, we enter a war against our nature and that battle will continue until we die.
So Christians are all at war with ourselves, we are our own worst enemies. We don't win every battle against the old man, so he still gives us regular beatings when we let our guard down.
He will finnaly be destroyed by Christ and then we will receive our perfect sinless immortal bodies and we will be like Christ. This is not like the Mormon teaching, that everyone will become a god.
Many Christians think they can achieve a sinless state in this life, but that was never taught by Christ or any of the prophets.

Many Christians think they can achieve a sinless state in this life, but that was never taught by Christ or any of the prophets.

If a Christian is having trouble with sin or wanting to sin, its because they are trying to resist sin in their own power...This is "walking in the flesh". So, all this will do is make it worse.

What is the "curse of the law"? "Jesus has redeemed us from the CURSE of the law".

What is that?
The curse, is not just the fact that we were not able to keep the law, and were then judged by the law as "sinners"....Thats half of the curse. The other is, that the law has power....It has DOMINION.
This is why after you are born again, "you are no longer UNDER the Law, but UNDER GRACE".
So, see that? "under"....that is "the dominion OF"....
And what does this mean...>It means that after the Blood Atonement is applied to you.. and you are BORN AGAIN.....then if you try to resit sinning in your own power then you find yourself back under its power.
This is easy to understand, as wasn't it impossible not to keep sinning before you were saved?
So, that was you trying to resist the power of the law by not sinning = fail.

This is how Paul is explaining it in Galatians...>"are you so FOOLISH that having begun in the SPIRIT, (under GRACE) you are now putting yourself back " into the FLESH", or, back under the power of the Law.
As well as explaining that some are "fallen from Grace" by trying to again do works to "keep themselves saved"......Its both.
And once you do that you will fall and fail and flail and never actually get totally FREE from sinning.
Most believers don't realize that the finished work of Jesus on the Cross, didn't just save you so that you can live a frustrated life of doing good for a while then sinning, then doing good for a while, then sinning.
No.
That is how you live if you are "in the flesh" and not "walking in the Spirit".

So, how to stop that?
You walk in the spirit and then you will not fulfill the LUSTS of the flesh....you wont sin.

What is walking in the spirit? Is it walking around talking in a Prayer language?
Is it repenting and confessing and repenting and confessing chronically?
NOPE.

Walking in the Spirit is to understand your position "in Christ", under the dominion of God's GRACE.
You walk in that. You live in that...You obsess on that.... You exist in that KNOWLEDGE that you are this..:
= "As Christ IS, so are the BORN AGAIN< IN This World".
You are to change your thinking. Renew your mind, so that you stop seeing yourself as a saved sinner, and start realizing that you are now under the dominion of GRACE.
Right believing produces Right Living.

The reason you sin, after you are saved, is because you are sin conscious.
Grace, and walking in this Knowledge of The Grace of God, will allow you to lose sin consciousness, and as this becomes your "mind of Christ", you will find that you have POWER that plays out as being under the dominion of the Grace of God which will free you from sin consciousness that use to lead you to sin.

Now, go and study these 2 verses... Hebrews 10:1, 2.
And they will tell you that the sacrifices found in the OT, FAILED because they could not give you freedom FROM THE CONSCIOUSNESS of Sin.
Now comes the CROSS.
Then read Hebrews 10:14, and notice that you are "perfected".
And that means, that "sin consciousness" .. no longer having this, is A result of the ONE TIME Sacrifice that is Jesus's eternal Sacrifice that HAS given you this freedom from the consciousness of sin.
Study that out.
Walk in Grace.
Lose your sin consciousness.
Live Holy.

According to the sermon on the mount sin is not the physical act but the thought.
So that moment of irrational anger, that thought of what could I do with a lottery win, that look/thought that slips from admiration to lust or envy are all as grievous as if one had done them.

Lease tell us how you control your mind so that you never fall for these subtle sins?

Then there is the strange repetition through the NT of the need not to sin.
If it was as easy and as straightforward as you imply why this constant repetition.
Or why does the Bible say we are sinners as in 1john1:9 which goes so far as to say,
If we say we are without sin we are not Christian.

Yes Jesus died that All our sins are forgiven, we are still in bodies spoiled by sin and this won't change untill we are in heaven.

Its not a 20 word answer, for me to teach all that you are asking.

First of all, If Jesus became our sin, then our sin is WHERE?
Where is it? Do you have it? Does the Pope have it? Does Tiger Woods have it?
Who has it reader?
Jesus has it on the CROSS, "he became your sin"...he didnt just pay for it and bare it, ...Jesus BECAME your sin....... AND DIED.
So, when Jesus dies AS your SIN, so did your sin die with Christ.
And that is why you were raised in the Spirit, as a "new creation".
So, a new creation, is not a sinner.....
A sinner is what you were, before Christ became your sin for you.. and died.
Understand?
Good, as about .0004 % of Believers even know that this happened to them and for them.

WELCOME TO SALVATION. !!

So, now that we know that WE are not "sinners", but we are ... Saints, Sons of God... Heirs of GOD....Joint Heirs with Christ....."ONE with God and Christ"..... Brethren.....The BRIDE.....

See all that? That is YOU as the "new Creation".
That is the REAL you.
You are THIS....if you are born again...= "As Christ IS, so are the born again IN THIS WORLD".
"IN THIS WORLD".
See that?
So, is Christ a sinner? If so, you are also, as ':As Christ IS...so are YOU....in this WORLD".
But if he's not a sinner, then neither are you.
See it?

Now you got that?.... as once you do, then you do this..
You open your bible, knowing that a Born again SAINT is not a SINNER.
So, when you read a verse that says...."If WE say we have no sin".... Then this can't be talking about the speaker who is an Apostle, as they are not a SINNER..... as a sinner would have SIN, they would be sinning, and that Apostle is not sinning, and is not a sinner.

So, what then? Then, you will begin to have some truth about your verse, by understanding that "WE", when that word is used by a SINLESS blood redeemed Apostle, he is talking about THEM... the audience.
Not himself.

Its like this readers..

Let say im preaching to 700 of you here... in a church.
And none of you are believers. You are all atheists...or unbelievers of some sort.
And say you are a Scientologist.... or a follower of Mary Baker Eddy.
These 2 cults teach that there is no original sin. No sin at all.
So, you stand up, and say to me....."there is no sin, so what is this junk you are teaching"...

And i say......"wait, wait wait......hold the phone.......back up.........Listen, if WE say we have no sin"..

See that WE? see it?

So, im not talking about me.....Im talking about you, but i say "we", as that is talking corporally to the group, yet not specifically about myself, tho , i used the word WE.

Now, some of you will see this clearly, and some of you will not even try.
And for you that can, go now to Hebrews, and use that understanding of "WE", in those verses where the Apostle is teaching those unbelieving Hebrews, and says..."If WE sin willfully, there remains no more sacrifice"..
As that is the same thing....>He is not talking about himself when he says "WE". He is talking about them.
And if you can see that, you are finally awake to something that will free you from liars who use certain verses to try to make you think you can lose your salvation.
its always the "we" verses....and that WE, is never talking about the speaker, or the Apostle.
Its always directed at the UNBELIEVER when the verse is seen as an Apostle talking about the BLOOD of JESUS to a GROUP..
Find out.
Study.

If you "have sin" then you are a sinner.
Read the verse.
If you have sin.....so, if you have sin, you are not saved. Christ has not become your sin and died on the Cross yet.

The Apostle done not have the sin.
He is referring to those that are hearing the Gospel.
Often you have to explain that a person has sin. And they will say......"i dont have any sin, im as good as YOU"..
And you say...."listen, if we say we have no sin"......meaning THEM. Not you the preacher.

Thanks for the advice, but it has left me somewhat confused. I have been studying the Bible for a few years now and I haven't found anything that tells us that we can stop sinning.
So i'm not sure what your point actually is but I'm sure you will agree that you me and every other Christian in history has continued to sin everyday of their lives.
It's impossible to stop sinning while we live in a body of corruption and death, I'm sure you agree. We can try to resist but you know very well that it's impossible.
We should be glad that Christ paid for all of our past, present and all future sins and nothing can cause us to lose our salvation :)

Hello,
Jesus said to walk in the light as He is in the light.
Did He mean, whenever you can get around to it?, and right after your next sin?
God says to "be holy as He is holy"....so, when does that start ????, and is it a part time situation?
Paul says we have LIBERTY in Christ and not to use this "for an occasion to the flesh".
So, that is telling you that you would be choosing to commit a carnal act, vs being unable to have any POWER to stop doing a work of the flesh.
That means we should have Spiritual POWER , <>LIBERTY >< so that its easy to say no to a work of the flesh.

Here is the reality. If you are living a life of sinning, guilt, confessing, repenting, then walking a while without sinning, then oppppps, there i go again, sorry Lord its the same old sin, the one i said 400 times ago i'd never do again.
That is not real Christianity. Thats RELIGION.
God did not save you to be failing at being holy after He told you to do it.
God would not tell you to do what can't be done.....would He?
The problem is, we are taught that sinning is a part of our normal walk.
And that is a lie. But people believe it and they become what they believe.= A chronic Christian failure to live holy.

Hebrews tells us that the reason that the blood of sacrificed animals was such a failure, is because it could not give you freedom from "sin consciousness" and it could not give you righteousness. So, Jesus became a one time eternal sacrifice, having obtained eternal, not temporary, but ETERNAL Redemption for us....and His sacrifice will provide you with deliverance from SIN CONSCIOUSNESS that frees you from sinning.

Now, to be tempted is not sin consciousness, as you were not thinking about that, then you were.
Sin Consciousness is a pattern of thinking of yourself as a sinner, and behaving accordingly.
ITs a sort of mental tattoo that is in your head that has always manipulated you to keep doing that same sin, or to seek to do other varieties.
The Law, empowers you to be a sinner. Paul said, "had i not known",...but the law came....sin revived....ect.
So, the problem is the LAW....as it has the power to cause your "sinful passions" to become inflamed every time. you try to stop sinning..
The Law is holy, but it does not affect us to be holy. This is the curse of the law.
And what Christians are not taught is the way the Law activates you to think about sinning, = is to become activated in your passions by the law. Thats what the law does to you. The law causes you to struggle against sin, and you have no power to stop, of yourself.
Jesus came to "redeem you from the CURSE of the LAW".....that is, to take that power from the Law away, that was driving you to sin consciousness, that is happening because you are resisting the law in your own power.
Christians don't realize..... that....if you were a sinner before you were saved, its because you had no power of yourself to stop....so, after you are saved, you still have no power of yourself to stop.
The power to stop is found in the Grace of God. "apart from me, you can do nothing" Jesus said.

The mind is where the sin starts, then it ends up being committed by your body.
So, you have to resolve your mind issue... that is still operating in the same sin conscious rut it was before you were saved.
You solve that, you stop committing works of the flesh.

You have to come to understand this....>"the knowledge of the Truth" so that the Truth can set you free.
Notice its the coming to the knowledge that then engages the TRUTH to set you free.
The Truth can't deliver you until you get the knowledge, "come to it". The REVELATION.. THE LIGHT.
= the power to begin to be Freed from committing habitual works of the flesh..... And that is what Paul refers to as the "Liberty" or the total liberation from committing works of the flesh that is described as "walking in the Spirit". If you walk in the spirit, you will not fulfill, the lusts of your sin conscious mind....
See it? But you have to get there..

So, the entire problem of "cant stop sinning", is because you have a mind that is not renewed. It has not come to the knowledge of the Truth, as "the mind of Christ".
The mind of Christ simply means you are walking in the Spiritual understanding of the knowledge of the Truth.
When you walk in the natural mind, you are "walking in the flesh"...and that mind is unable to be delivered from sin consciousness that is powered by the Law, under the laws dominion that keeps you sinning then confessing, falling then repenting.....that cycle of FAIL.
"you are not under the law, you are under GRACE".
See that?
You have to put yourself under the dominion of THAT Grace.
You are under it, because you are saved, but you are not operating in it, because your mind is still sin conscious. You are still walking in the Flesh.

How to get to the truth that im talking about...
Well, you have to obsess a bit to get to the resting place that gives this freedom.
The delivering power of Christ is there, but you have to engage it in a certain way that becomes your deliverance.
You have to begin at the beginning and get this right, as that is what you got wrong from the start that has kept you in the Christian Fail syndrome of sinning, guilt, confession, over and over.

You simply have to get deeply grounded in this verse. Hebrews 13:9
You have to get your heart completely in line with the Grace of God.
You have to become really really completely in sync with the Grace of God.
You have to obsess on this a bit, is the reality, as you are renewing your mind and that takes time and some obsession, and the eventual fruit that comes will abide and result as freedom to LIVE HOLY.
You have to let go of all your effort to try to make God accept you, or any fear or idea that Salvation has something to do with you keeping it by SELF.
You have to let all that go, and become completely under the "dominion of Grace".
You have to become ESTABLISHED mentally and spiritually with that verse, and BECOME THAT as your TRUE understanding of Salvation.
When you do, you will then be walking in the LIGHT of the revelation of GRACE, and you will begin to rest in that Grace, free from any idea of self effort as the way to stop sinning or to keep yourself saved.
Once you get there, you then have the "mind" of Christ, and are no longer walking in the flesh. And in that Place, is where you will find that you are freed from that consciousness of sin, that the Law was using to keep you in that rut of sinning and repenting.

Don't be Ike Muslims who believe that there 'saint' etc cannot sin.
The apostles are like you and me, sinners saved by grace and in constant need of grace.
In IJohn1:9 it is if we say we have no sin

All of the above sounds logical, but the reality is not that simple.
The reality is Christians commit all kinds of heinous sins, like murder and adultery etc.
God has promised to forgive them if they repent and He never put a limit on how many times He will forgive us when we repent.
God knows our weaknesses and He knows we could never be good enough to save ourselves. That's why He came into the world to pay for every past, present and future sin that believers commit.
I don't plan to sin, but I have fallen into serious sin many times and God has always been gracious in forgiving me.
You know, just as well as I do that every single Christian sins every single day for as long as they live and there's no getting around that fact.
I'm not saying that Christians just give in to every temptation, we do resist the temptation but sometimes we fall into it. I know that men are more prone to sexual sins like adultery and fornication, while women may be more prone to things like idolatry.
Mankind has 3 enemies, 1. is the world 2. our flesh and 3 is the Devil so we face an uphill battle. The battle will not be won in this life, we will continue the battle until we die, then you will receive your sinless glorified body.
We don't need to worry about losing our salvation if we've sinned, because it's not possible. The only unforgivable sin is the one the pharisees committed, when they accused the Holy Spirit of being Satanic. I'm sure no Christian has ever committed such a horrible sin as that.

Read what is being said.. that is inclusive language meann the speaker as well as the heart.

Don't be Ike Muslims who believe that there 'saint' etc cannot sin.
The apostles are like you and me, sinners saved by grace and in constant need of grace.
In IJohn1:9 it is if we say we have no sin

2 Dominions in the "time of the Gentiles'.

1.) THe Law
2. ) Grace.

If you are born again = "you are not UNDER the law, you are UNDER Grace.":

Grace is now your Dominion. And it has reclassified you as : Saint., Bride, Son of God, Temple of the Holy Spirit.....ect.

If you are an unbeliever, then you are still "under the Law", so, the Law would define you, TITLES You,= as "sinner", sinning".

Once you figure out which DOMINION you are under, you will understand if you are a "sinner" or a "saint".
