CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I watched a little bit of the RNC. They've been so quiet (especially considering the constant barage of mud slinging by the other party), I wanted to hear (and see) what they had to say. I didn't watch the DNC. Because I watched the democratic debates. (and the inundation of paid advertisements on t.v.) And, unfortunately Obama was over the top arrogant...and seemed a little too fond of using a lot of words to avoid answering a straight question with a straight answer. It's too bad too. Because I am, at heart, a democrat.

Jami Holm. She's my kids cc coach. And she seems to lead a charmed life. (I won't go into details, but it's hard not to be jealous of that. Especially considering the place I'm in, in my life, right now. )
I liked your question, and the only other answer, would have been someone in politics, so that I could know what's really going on, and be in a place where I could really exact change. But, there isn't any politician that I like enough, to want to be them...even for one day, at the moment.
So, I'm going to ask your question for the next person. (since it was so good. Hope that's okay with you. )
