I saw one when we were on vacation the year I was 8 and I've wanted one of my own as my "first car" ever since!

I do not, wish I could but I am too practical or something.

Do you ever pray for things that are really seemingly impossible?

Yes. There's one thing in particular that I pray for often.
Nothing is impossible for God and since I also pray for His will to be done I figure there's nothing wrong with asking for something big.

Are you comfortable praying out loud in a group?

Yes I am.

How many pounds do you carry when you hike?

As few as I can.
For a day hike I usually just carry a fanny pack with water, sunscreen and my lunch or snacks.

When we're backpacking I carry about 20 pounds. My Dad has invested in a lot of ultra-light gear and he's a real ogre about not letting us take along anything we don't absolutely have to have with us. (I think that's a throw back from when he and my mom were first married and he'd end up carrying a bunch of her stuff because she got too tired... )

several times when I was in youth group. I love it.

About how old were you when you learned how to whistle?

I'm not sure..... I can whistle though so I must have learned at some point.

Do you remember learning how to tie your shoes?

yes, at the end of the year in kindergarten. Had a harder time than the other kids, I guess because I'm left-handed and it seemed like they were trying to teach me backwards.

when someone hurts your feelings, do you get quiet, or speak up?

It all depends on the circumstances I guess.
If I do decide to speak about it with the person, I usually wait until later on so that I can talk about it without getting angry or emotional.

When someone treats you badly do you dwell on it or are you able to put it behind you pretty quickly?

I don't get over it quickly. I have to pray several times and take every thought captive to Christ. It's one of my main weaknesses.

What is your favorite book besides the Bible?

Anne of Green Gables.
I've loved it for years now. I can't tell you how many times I've read and reread it. My parents even planned a family vacation to Prince Edward Island when I was younger so that we could see Green Gables!

That is so neat!!! Someday I hope you can go on that trip to Prince Edward Island.

Favorite childhood memory: going to see my grandpa, him hugging me, playing checkers with me, etc., etc. He was WONDERFUL.

Sorry - I guess I didn't explain clearly. We went on the trip to PEI in the fall of 2002.
Your grandfather does sound wonderful. I'm glad you have those memories.


Do your children get to see their grandchildren very often?

Caleb doesn't have any grandparents, as DH and my parents are all in heaven.

Michelle doesn't see her paternal grandparents any longer. But we are fine!

Not really - I do whenever I get the chance, but I don't get a chance very often.

What grade were you in when you stopped believing in Santa Claus?

We didn't do Santa.
I sat on his lap at the store and watched the Christmas specials, but from the beginning my folks told me he was like "Mickey Mouse at Disneyland." Someone dressed up as a nice guy so kids could have a lot of fun.


Have you ever been to Disneyland or Disney World?

I have been to both but so many times to Disneyland I cannot count them because I lived in Southern Calif. for many years.

Do you like large amusement parks or zoos better?
