CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I didn't finish college. But, I was an Art History/ Phys Ed-Team Sports major while I was there. ...It's no excuse I know, but I didn't have a family to help me with my direction/motivation and I didn't even know about grants and scholarships, let alone student loans to help me foot the bill. So I worked about 80 hours a week to support myself, and tried to go to school at night...for 8 years. But, I was tripped up constantly by some pretty bad trials. And after awhile I threw in the towel.
Do you think you handle things like an adult most of the time? Or do you have a "fine! I'm taking my ball and going home!" attitude more often?

Well, my teenage emotions get in the way occasionally, but overall I'm more of a "let's see if we can make this work for both of us" kind of person.

I think the Japanese Kimona is cool. I worked with a girl when I was in my twenties that had a real one. She had been an exchange student. They're very special in real life.
