Are there any foreign missionaries you pray for regularly and/or support or write to?

I know several people currently in the mission field, and pray for them regularly.

Have you ever thought about going into long term foreign missions?

Yes. That's something that I'm praying seriously about, actually. A few years ago someone from AIM spoke at a neighboring church about the need for engineers to help develop irrigation systems, etc. It's hard to know what's "Daffy's enthusiasm" and what's God's calling though.
I've got a while before I need an answer though.

I've looked into TEAM.
I've been to Haiti (building a church/school) and NYC (5 Day Bible Clubs, vacation Bible School) with my church. Haiti was a real eye opener - NYC wasn't as different from "Hicksville" as I'd expected it to be.

What grade level do you plan to teach?

high school initially, college after I finish my master's degree.

Do you think you'd like to teach?

I do.
I tutor (to get free tuition at the community college) and I enjoy it so much more than I expected to. Plus, I'd like to marry and have a family some day. If I'm not able to be at home with my children, a teacher's schedule would be second best in my book.

How far into your degree are you right now?

I'm just wrapping up my first year, so I have quite a ways to go.

Do you have any other career choices you've considered? I know you've got a while, but everyone dreams

oh yeah, for sure. i've considered like five before making up my mind, lol!

I'm an education major, I want to teach social studies. High school to start with, college after I get a little experience and get my master's.

i'm a writer. and i also work as a flight attendant. for now. i don't plan on doing that for long. just something to do so i can write.
