No (?) but i've spent a large chunk of my adult life with my husband working for church-based development organizations.

Sometimes, especially when there are so many other people to be concerned about: family, friends, clients. Rationally, I can justify it but many times I still feel guilty.

My children are still children. They don't have significant others yet.

no, i take comfort in the knowledge i have acquired from the lessons that i learned the hard way.

No. I don't feel morally or spiritually superior to anyone.

Have you ever judged someone by their behavior and then found out they had terrible issues to deal with?

No. But, I have been judged harshly when I had terrible issues to deal with myself. And, I think it's because compassion or calousness are indicators of a persons character and the condition of their faith. Not whether or not the person being judged deserves it.

I like James Herriott's books a lot, books that happen in a rural setting are my favorite.
