CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Depends on what you mean by sad...but I can get sad over the fact that so many people can come to church and go again without ever being noticed.

Every church I've been to in my adult years have been great, but then they have been a few things they needed to work on.

Yes. Encouragement, inspiration and something I could use in my daily life is what I was hoping for. I don't go into anything with expectations.

I don't know anyone really at church. We've only been going there for a year and a half. I've tried to meet people. But, they rarely make eye contact. So, it's hard. Small town and all that. And I would like to stay a little, but I'm with my husband who likes to beat it out of there as soon as humanly possible.
My old church I knew a lot of people. They were all so nice. Who knew that the nicest church I would ever find would be in California. The state most christians think is the epitome of evil. Shows you what they know I guess.
