CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Oh, and I forgot, they also track every purchase we make with an ATM or Credit Card. It surprised me at the lengths the president has thought were necessary to go. I was brought up with the idea of Big Brother...my parents and the 60's. But, back then, it was just science fiction. I didn't know that there would really come a day when I would no longer feel free in my own country. I can't really describe how I feel about it. Angry, creeped out, sad? It's unnerving, unsettling. I don't like it. I do not like it at all. My family has been in this country since the very, very beginning. I just can't believe we've fallen this far as a nation from the tirrany we were trying to leave behind. It's...shakes head. It's very upsetting.

Not technically. At my first job, "It was decided, after the trial period of my hire was over, not to keep me on permanently." At a subsequent job, I was "layed off due to corporate restructuring."
I don't think business' fire people anymore. They make up lame excuses, to acheive their goal, of that person no longer working for them...to avoid culpability for the real reasons they want them gone.

Not tonight. Last night the church had a cook out that our family attended. It was awkward. Because we don't know anyone.
